The employee helpline is the best thing. Employees can ring about any problem or issue and speak to someone who can arrange all sorts of help from face to face counselling to legal and medical advice.
As a contractor, you don't have health care but you receive an extra payment instead of about £70/month. The default pension for younger contractors/employees (under 45ish?) is a company contribution of 8% if you contribute 5%, plus 0.5% for every additional 1% you contribute. The company contribute more if you're older.

Barely any good benefits to working at GNM unfortunately for young people. No free gym membership or discounts at retailers or businesses. They do however provide childcare vouchers for parents.
Generous holiday allowance, flexible working options but hardly any perks at all. Private healthcare for permanent staff (free but employee pays tax on it), no Christmas bonus.
Best: paid sabbatical, nine day fortnight.
