Hertsrewards is an excellent money saving package
I don’t no as I have not used them yet. We do have herts rewards which appears to be good.
There are some good benefits working for HCC. Pension is good, salary sacrifice scheme, additional benefits if you join Unison, insurance. The sick pay scheme is not great.
The pension is very generous, although you can not really put in less than 5.8% which is quite high, but they match it and put 20% in! You get Herts rewards like discounts on the cinema, shopping and gym membership. Not all are very big but some make a difference. £6 instead of £11 cinema tickets for cineworld. Sick pay - first 2 days are unpaid which is bad but after that you get full pay.
pension, employee assistance, study sponsorship, rewards,
A large range of discounts are available from Herts Rewards. I use the re-loadable cards for for several shops, as well as earning cashback on several purchases; in just under two years I have saved nearly £200 on food and clothes shopping. I also took part in the cycle to work scheme, which was a brilliant way to get a top of the range bike that I wouldn't usually be able to afford.
Hertfordshire employee benefits, discounts on travel, gym and social activities
If you research well Herts rewards can give you great reductions.
Cashback offer with some retailers online and in-store. Discount in gyms/healthcare - nothing special though. 10% here and there which could probable be negotiated anyway
Good pension (now changed slightly but still decent), good annual leave and flexable working, range of salary sacrifice schemes (childcare, bikes). Downsides are as it's the public sector there are no perks events with food and drinks, paid for Christmas parties. This is right as it's public money, but you do get better perks in the private sector.
