We positively encourage flexibility and this has made a big difference to the ways we and our people work. One option is mixing working from home with working at one of our local hubs. You don’t have your own desk, but we’ll give you the technology to work from a wide variety of locations. This means you often get the chance to work alongside people from different service areas and learn more about what they do.

The council encourages you to work flexibly by having hot desking areas in your main hub, working from the other hubs or campuses or working from home.

In our team people can work flexible hours most of the time and there is a rota to cover early and lates to make sure there is always someone available to customers, there is a lot of give and take - we are expected to work hard when we need to but also know that if we have a genuine need to take some time away this will be allowed as long as we make it up or achieve outcomes.
