    They appear to care about the well being of their staff. They are family friendly.

    Inconvénients

    Pay is on the low side.

    Avantages

    Great place to work. Really committed to doing things well and employing the best methodologies. Work hard and have fun doing it.

    Inconvénients

    Developers get paid a fortune, everyone else, not so much. Sometimes you get a sense that the directors are a bit autocratic

    Avantages

    You are met with a supportive culture yet given client responsibilities very early on. 2degrees rewards innovative thinkers and people who define their own targets and opportunities.
    If you are looking for a company culture that lives and breathes sustainability and a role that gives you a great oversight into online platforms, I could not recommend 2degrees more.

    Inconvénients

    Working in a small and innovative company comes at the expense of procedure, routine and hierarchy. If structure and predictability are what you're looking for then 2degrees is perhaps not for you.

    Avantages

    The overall mission and sense of purpose at 2degrees is evident throughout - the staff, the way the company is managed, and the clients they work with. People are very committed to making a positive impact on the planet, and the sense of 'onto something together' is truly empowering.
    The office environment is fun, energetic and collaborative. Colleagues are friendly and very sociable.
    The amount of exposure and responsibility given is significantly more than what you would get in other companies if you have limited work experience. This makes it a perfect place to join as a first or second job, and a great step into the sustainability sector at all levels.
    The company is growing and making good progress into their products and staff, giving rise to great opportunities, roles and progression.

    Inconvénients

    The salary is on the lower end, but comparable with other jobs working in the sustainability/environment sector.
    As the company is still relatively young, things do change fairly often so it would not suit someone looking for a completely structured environment.

    Keep communicating your mission, clearly and concisely, and remember to learn from old clients and projects as all experience is useful.

    Avantages

    There is a real sense of purpose at 2Degrees, and the staff are genuinely passionate about driving sustainable change in a commercially appropriate fashion.

    People are given a high degree of personal responsibility and (within reason) the freedom to choose how they approach their work.

    It's easily got one of the best company cultures about - people take their jobs seriously but enjoy themselves; it is a fun place to work.

    The senior management team are incredibly approachable.

    The management team do what they can to keep employees in the loop as to what is happening at the higher levels of the organisation.

    Inconvénients

    Salaries aren't great, but that's just part of working within the wider sustainability sector.

    Its difficult for the company to keep good people as promotion prospects are very limited.

    Although there is a sense of purpose within the organisation if you asked five employees where the business is going over the coming years I suspect you'd receive five different responses.

    Continue to be transparent and open with employees. Try to provide a more defined path for junior employees to make the jump from community management to more senior roles. Keep hiring passionate and talented people.
