    Avantages

    Innovative, empowering, emphasis on and respect for QA, open work space, ability to work from home, fun place to work.

    Inconvénients

    Not enough time off; medical and 401k benefits have waiting periods after hire; generally speaking not competitive enough in salary; in IT there is a tendency to let favored people work on whatever, however they want; in some cases opportunities for advancement are unclear or limited.

    Be more open to giving and receiving feedback. Give us 3 weeks of vacation at hire.

    If I am unsure of why I am working on something management, up to and including the CIO, are available to discuss it.

    Inconvénients

    I have been really happy with my time at Aaron's. There are obviously some minor issues that come with every job like changes in the vacation policy but the company and the culture really make up for those minor cons that I can think of

    Avantages

    Relaxed environment with many talented people
    Technology is relatively current, but not bleeding edge changes
    Management is available and considerate of employees' needs
    Compensation is comparable to most employers
    Working remotely is optional and available as needed
    Infrastructure is well designed and layered as expected
    Agile Project Management is followed

    As software developer, I don't interact with end users.
    Limited opportunities to learn the business

    Have software developers interspersed throughout the business to support specific business teams for a specified time period and rotate the assignments to allow everyone the opportunity to learn more aspects of the business.

    Avantages

    You get to brainstorm with some really creative people to come up with great and different ideas to solve problems. Up to date software is used and failures are looked as learning experiences. We are AGILE here at Aaron's Inc Tech. No idea is not looked at. Pay is comparable to other high-tech places to work.

    Inconvénients

    Learning New Software can be tricky.

    Avantages

    Good working environment and sufficient challenges to make things interesting.

    Inconvénients

    Pay raises for those who stay in a current position are usually very close to the rate of inflation so it does not feel that it is a true merit based raise.

    Think about changing the pay raises for Store Support Center personnel to at least 2 or 3 percent above the rate of inflation.

    Avantages

    I work in the corporate office in Atlanta. The pros are competent leadership and interesting work as we have been in full digital transformation mode for several years. It's a relatively flexible working environment and convenient to my home.

    Inconvénients

    Benefits outside of health insurance. We get 6 built in holidays a year and PTO well below industry standard. HR doesn't seem to be able to differentiate between the stores and the corporate office so the same policies apply to all so it depends on your manager to determine how flexible your work is. Anyone under Sr Manager level is not eligible for a bonus.

    Step into 2019 where benefits matter to skilled technology employees. Time off, bonuses and lunch and learns with actual lunch provided would be appreciated- and are to be expected in the technology landscape in Atlanta. There is negative unemployment in many areas of expertise.

    Avantages

    Collaborative.
    Increasingly focused on the same goals as an organization - this has come a long way as we work to focus on the right work to do instead of all work that is available
    Just about everyone know everyone in IT and even beyond.
    Internal promotion is a favoured way of filling positions when possible.
    Love the open-plan office space and the plethora of areas where you can also work quietly.

    Inconvénients

    I'm not a fan of the various medical benefits we have. But that may be a function of the insurance companies themselves...
    Compensation can be tricky and, unless the hiring manager has significant patience to work the system, sometimes unfair especially for some internal hires.
    I'm sure there are more cons but I'm having trouble remembering any at this time.

    Avantages

    I specifically came to Aaron's and Aaron's tech for their unique culture, thirst for innovation, and empowerment based approach. Aaron's is focused on promotion from within and giving those with drive opportunities. They are highly focused on identifying new approaches and utilizing cutting edge technology to be successful. It feels like a nimble startup, but the size of a much larger company. Aaron's also drew me for their focus on philanthropy and involvement in the community.

    Inconvénients

    Speed and empowerment can lead to multiple solutions across the company.
