    Avantages

    Calm work environment (dependent on which team you're in), reasonable deadlines, and nice cafeteria if you forget your lunch. Many of the employees are friendly and will leave you to your work if you have headphones on. Every now and then I got to work on a neat project. The facilities are nice and clean. They have a decent 401K plan, but nothing special.

    Inconvénients

    I assumed that if I worked faster and constantly improved my work, then I would be rewarded with higher pay. This backfired when my manager actually told me not to work as fast. Perhaps I unintentionally made my coworkers look bad. My manager opted to outsource part of the team I was on as they prioritized quantity over quality.     My manager pressured me into doing overtime, but then ended my contract a few weeks early on Friday afternoon, which was a low blow. This is because although I was on track to be over 40 hours that week, I was muscled off the premises before I could actually get much over 40.     Pay is competitive. ESOP program makes it even better. Work is fast paced and interesting.

    Inconvénients

    Not much for new employee training, you are mostly expected to learn on your own time. Hurts new grads the most.

    Avantages

    Employees are willing to get you involved in their projects, and are very helpful in teaching you the way their business works. The variety of projects was unique, and the internship program itself was extremely helpful in learning about the company & the industry in general. Very nice internship overall.

    Inconvénients

    If you know that working at an EAC firm is not for you, and you do not want to go into consulting & learn about it then I would not recommend interning here simply for the summer job. If you are interested in learning & being a part of this type of business I cannot think of a better place to be a part of!

    Everyone is extremely helpful and welcoming. The benefits are also great since Burns & McDonnell is employee-owned.

    Inconvénients

    Sometimes the workload is extremely heavy, but that's not necessarily a bad thing!
