J'ai travaillé chez Charterhouse Partnership en Contrat Permanent (Plus d'un an)

    Avantages

*Charterhouse has great incentives available, to motive and encourage employees. From the Big Billers incentive trip, to the internal incentives such as; Sky dive, pool deck at the Burj Al Arab, even the simple things; ‘works drinks’ on a Thursday.
    *Actively encouraged to be entrepreneurial
    *Decent salaries
*The best medical ive had since living in Dubai

    Inconvénients

A lot of people move to Dubai for the wrong reasons then wonder why things do not work out and are quick to blame the people around them instead of owning up. I see this first hand and my advice is make sure you understand that the market is harder here than in the UK and yes the ‘lifestyle’ out here beats the rain and dull sights of the UK but to succeed in Dubai you have to set yourself short & long term goals and think towards the future.

    Inconvénients

Culture change currently taking place so a little bit in process. not really a Con but that is the only downside currently

    Avantages

    - excellent and collaborative work culture
    - management culture is very supportive and provides autonomy to staff. Non-micro environment. Even have fruit day every Wed and management even sponsor weekly exercise activity! Makes one feel like we are treated with humane respect unlike the other recruitment firms I worked for previously.
    - leadership is clear on how and where to steer the “ship”; this gives us the confidence and motivation in where the firm is heading towards
    - Colleagues are mostly experienced consultants which is great as we learn from one another
    - fun place where we really work hard and at the end of each month/quarter and year frankly play harder. Haha.

    Inconvénients

    - many of the consultants were top billers in their previous recruitment firms, so can be quite stressful (and embarrassing) especially when your revenue is average. But I guess that’s why the Singapore office has had consecutive record years.
    - compensation is probably around the 80th percentile of the market which is pretty nice. But can always be better :)

    Conseils à la direction

Continue on the right path as our reputation as top recruitment firm is firmly cemented. Love this company, culture and management.

    Avantages

Dubai as a city is a great spot
Charterhouse can be a gateway to start working in Dubai and to understand the better companies out there.

    Inconvénients

Turnover. It's almost famous amongst other recruitment companies in Dubai for the amount of turnover it has had, with many consultants in Dubai having arrived with Charterhouse and then left after a few months (to another agency).
It has a very political, almost nasty culture.
There seem to be a lot of clients that just refuse to work with Charterhouse now due to historical issues, so can be tough to get business.

    Conseils à la direction

Honestly, I think there should be a change in management. There's a clique at the top which can do no wrong, which makes the average consultant feel like a second class citizen.

    Avantages

    Had a decent base salary
Commission was excellent as long as you billed well
Incentives were good as long as performed well
Good support from MD and Director when joined, even when it took a few months to start making placements
Was able to get out of debt, put down a house deposit, pay for a wedding, live well and for this I am grateful.
The customer base gave me a good opportunity to x-sell my specialism into

    Inconvénients

Quiet office environment and a bit to corporate for my style, though may suit others
I can understand the love it or hate it reviews. If you performed well you were liked if you didn’t you weren’t - I know that’s business but there was no grey

    Conseils à la direction

Life’s to short. Have more fun in the working day
Don’t end on bad terms with people, it comes back to bite you with nasty emotional Glassdoor reviews!

    Avantages

    Dubai, it’s a lovely city

    Inconvénients

Quite like the other locations, the Dubai office has a complete lack of leadership and management skills. Management aren’t trained and don’t have a clue what they’re doing. The brand is barely holding on in the market across the last two years whilst other agencies absolutely smash it. This is because the management like to play games and manipulate the consultants until they leave so turnover is incredibly high. There’s no clear promotional structure it’s just whoever the MD takes a good liking to. Both clients and candidates pity you for working at this agency. You’ll also end up spending most of your working week here as additional hours for no need are expected to impress management. Work hard work hard culture.

    Conseils à la direction

The management in Dubai are tired and worn out, they’ve been there for too long and don’t have a hold on things. Get some fresh blood in

    Avantages

The company gives great support and is willing to invest in technology and resources to help you to be successful. Competitive salary, good staff benefits and annual leaves (one of the most in the recruitment market). Nicely located in CBD.

    Inconvénients

Turnover would be on the higher side. Perhaps more stringent processes could be in place when hiring.

    Conseils à la direction

Generally turnover does dip the morale of the office. Perhaps having a better exit strategy for leavers might be a win win situation.

Je travaille chez Charterhouse Partnership à plein temps (Pendant plus de 3 ans)

    Avantages

I am a current employee. Having ridden the peaks and troughs the company has been through in recent years, I can confidently say that the Charterhouse I work in right now is the best it has ever been.

Our MD is leading with confidence and passion, giving clear direction and shaking off the negativity that some former employees may have felt.

The HR Manager is EXCELLENT!!!!! She has implemented some fantastic structure and I can already see the positive change it has brought (and this is just the beginning). There is a clear career path for everyone now, and the right process in place to support people at all levels.

The company is investing in training and development, we have a new commission model, we are reinventing the brand, the list of pros goes on and on at the moment.

Obviously, still the great incentives and yes we still have the best balcony in Sydney.

    Inconvénients

It’s still recruitment, so it’s still really hard work! I feel that everyone is supported and really has the opportunity to reach their full potential here.

    Conseils à la direction

The Directors need to keep pushing forward with all of the projects that are being rolled out. They are making a huge difference to everyone on a billing desk, and to the support team.

    Avantages

Good team spirit and no crazy management - people are genuinely nice, no backstabbing
Transparent commission structure - has been improved for big billers recently
Good internal career opportunities - geographically and functionally
5 weeks of annual leaves and current efforts being made around HR and other benefits

    Inconvénients

    Not very competitive commission structure
    Lack of training for juniors

    Conseils à la direction

New CEO has bring a HR function and changing the business to go back to more healthy basics and more transparency. Also listening more to what the staff wants . Keep promoting internal mobility and working on proper HR processes and additional benefits and put in place as announced a training program especially for juniors, it should bring good results in the next 6/12 months.

    Inconvénients

    Where to begin...
Even though the company tells you that they have just gone through major changes for the better, still nothing seems like it’s changed. Working there was a joke as well as a combination of micro management, high staff turnover, terrible commission structure and bad working environment. I was missfortunate enough to be pususaded over from the Uk where I was treated like just a number. Do your research before joining a company such as this.
Also, I actually saw HR write reviews on here to better the company name!
