Avantages

At Descartes, almost every project that I worked on was used, otherwise the project was stopped at the PoC stage. I never had the impression of having to work on something useless. The team is welcoming, people are ready to help and have a good sense of humour. Everybody is working hard but there isn't any pressure on the working hours.

Inconvénients

It take time to explain what "parametric insurance" is to your friends and family

Avantages

The project is inspiring and solid, as are the founders and the team members whose level of expertise never ceases to impress me. The young and dynamic atmosphere is promising, as is the working environment, in a nice part of Paris. The pace of work and the level of commitment is demanding but still very acceptable. You are expected to work from around 9:30am to 7pm on average. Career opportunities are gradually opening up in this company which is constantly expanding around the world. The salary, bonuses and other benefits (lunch vouchers, sponsored meals, monthly drinks, annual seminar, holidays) are very appreciable, higher than average of what is found on the market.

Inconvénients

It won't bother everyone but the team is growing fast, on average 4 to 8 arrivals per month.
