    Avantages

    Good learning opportunities. You can take on more challenging responsibilities year over year. Lots of firm events and happy hours.

    Inconvénients

    Bad work life balance. Ridiculous amount of bonus. Bad rating system where your accomplishments and hard work don't get recognized.

    Avantages

    - Opportunities to work on different projects once every few months. Some very interesting wins and some not-so-exciting work
    - Easy access to subject matter experts and learning resources/events
    - Great international brand
    - Big bunch of peers in audit - good group of friends to take you through your early years

    Inconvénients

    - Total comp packages are hardly competitive despite regular assurances from HR and dept news of revenues making huge YOY jumps (a slap in the face for the rank-and-file)
    - Too broad a range of backgrounds for hires, from top-class grads from great universities to people with questionable qualifications from overseas universities (and dare I say, distance-learning programs + some lame work experience)
    - Live with the lousy comps (at least until SM level) or leave - there are many others willing to take your place. Probably best to take this as a transitional place to a more lucrative future
    - Management scrimps and saves on everything employee-related - very lousy or paid pantry snacks, very difficult claims process for employee welfare expenses, partners 'encourage' bus/train to client sites, yearly bonus factors not moving despite great business improvement

    You’ll get paid market rate for your rank/title but with 200,000+ employees it has to be that way I suppose

    Can feel like you’d make more of an impact outside EY

    Sheer size of the company can make you feel slotted into a role that’s very specific/boring

    Avantages

    -People and most managers are great and helpful, making the work environment a bliss.
    -Flexible working hours
    -Open door policy
    -You get to handle only as much pressure as you can take
    -Job security

    Inconvénients

    -Quality of work is not that great making learning confined to one avenue or very less general.
    -In some teams, earning rewards for good work is like a far fetched dream as Managers tend towards favoritism.
    -Politics
    -If you are working on innovation project for most of the year, they rate you less than your expectations saying that you didn't work on client project. If you worked on client, they say no innovation. So ratings and bonuses depend mostly on the whims and fancies of the manager.
    -Even if you are working on an innovation project, many a times they make you slog day and night, even on weekends, without any extra pay. However, if it is a client project then you get Rs200 bonus for stretching late into night or working since early morning or on a weekend. Comp-offs are of no use and difficult to get.
    -Progressions and promotions happen like they do in govt jobs - after a specific number of years of experience.

    - Please pay your employees for the extra work you make them do by asking them to go beyond their call of duty, and when it comes to rewarding/rating them, please don't say that going beyond the call of duty and working day and night was expected out of us and nothing extraordinary.
    - If you make us work on innovation projects, please don't say that we are not charging because that is also some work. It is loading someone with work and during evaluation treating him as if he were idle the whole year.
    -Progressions and promotions should be based on merit and skillset rather than yrs of exp.
