Yard-sale at Epiphone, co-workers are a great shoulder to cry on.
Inconvénients
Words to decribe Gibson: deplorable, miserable, frustrating, degrading, demeaning........ The stupidity that flows from the CEO suite is mindboggling. People get fired for making logical, pro-business decisions, yet, those who couldn't find their way out of wet paper bag with a set of Ginsu knives and a Klingon Bat'leth get huge raises and promotions. And, just when you think you've seen it all, HJ comes up with some crap that beats all levels of craptity, and since he knows everything about everything (not really, but don't tell him that), all you hear walking around the office is a huge flushing sound as the company goes down the toilet.
The worker bees are amazing, a group of people you will never forget. You don't get to know them that well, as most are only there for a short time. Headhunters watch Linkedin and Monster and when you approach your 1-year anniversary, they start pounding your phone and email because they know you're ready to get out. You want to know why your friends who work there don't tell you about job openings there? Friends don't let friends work at Gibson. And, when you tell them about the insanity, they just look at you in disbelief. Refer them here, they’ll get the picture really fast.
Pay sucks, promises never come, benefits are no better than any other place.Conseils à la direction

They make some cool guitars
Inconvénients
Everything else. Management is completely incompetent. Any success they have is despite themselves. They could do nothing but build guitars and probably be better off. The executives they do hire are all hacks who end up lasting there for 3-6 months. The reason is that no one in their right mind with a decent resume would actually work at this place. If you are an executive taking a job here, you are crazy or have no other viable career options. If you are middle management you might be ok but expect a lot of red tape to get your job done. Honestly, any job would be better than working at Gibson.

The people are amazing and fun to work with, awesome Brand recognition
Inconvénients
No raises, no 401k, always in fear of Henry pointing and firing, no systems, slow to replace others if at all so work load can be heavy,

Respect your employees, treat them as you would want to be treated, they truly love the product and can make or break you.

Poor management, no opportunities, no culture, fear of losing job everyday

Talented employees are paid well, appreciated, listened to, promoted, involved in decisions, mentored, and challenged. You do none of this.

Avantages
Minus management we're like a big family. Also decent pay.
Inconvénients
Horrible management! They expect great quality, but won't fix equipment or buy new equipment. They treat us as robots instead of people. Frustrating place to work.

Quit being know-it-alls. Listen to the employees. Give them the equipment they need to do their jobs.

Great people, love the environment is the best job I ever had . Get to see famous people on the tours from time to time . Plenty of vacation days , good insurance . Love being a part of a team and seeing the guitars we make on tv. And I want to thank mr Henry for giving me a job...

Need a HR person we can actually find when we need something , they r to busy to take care of employees . After working with some of the managers. I can see why Mr Henry fires them...
