    Avantages

    Good pay. There is a lot of opportunities to move up in the company, but I wouldn't expect much guidance since there are not a lot of seniors at the company anymore.

    Inconvénients

    -Lack of mentors and senior leaders in the offices. -Offices have young staff that work on solutions to new projects utilizing previous projects as templates without having the core knowledge needed to develop unique solutions. Oftentimes they call people "experts" after one project. -Poor company organization. Mid-level leaders are not often capable. Leaders are often identified based on if they meet... certain criteria such as gender and race rather than performance and competency. -A lot of recent bad hires. -No company transparency. No information on company performance, direction, or people leaving the company. -Paternity leave is 1 day. Fewer holidays than competitors. No time off to vote.

    -The company is bleeding employees as a result of turn over and some of the fundamental core engineering is now missing in the company. G&H needs to focus on employee retention through proper mid-level leadership, training, and career opportunities not going to galas and participating in city organizations. -G&H needs to include more identification levels than engineer, associate, and principal.... Development of these levels (engineer 1, engineer 2, senior staff, etc) helps employees see the progression. -Greater transparency will increase the feeling of ownership and loyalty. PAY to fix the main website. The fact that this has not been updated yet is embarrassing and absolutely frustrating. -Get rid of the pension and shift it into more modern benefits. The pension is more likely to retain the underperformers than the over performers.

    Avantages

    Decent pay, but slow growth in all aspects. (Pay, Knowledge, Duties/Responsibilities) Smallish company so growth within is slow and low ceiling. Repetitive and routine if you're into that.

    Inconvénients

    Outdated Systems. Disorganized, Inexperienced Project Managers sprinkled throughout. Shifting Expectations out of work.

    Update systems. Match pay to inflation. Establish direction and encourage clarity and transparency. Train, do what you can to retain engineers and project managers. High Turnover causes too many issues to meet company goals on a consistent basis.

    Great people, summer hours, diverse, pension plan

    Inconvénients

    Lots of potential but it seems they’re stuck in their old ways. Limited growth opportunities, outdated company culture—no casual Friday’s, Chicago office stayed open in -20° weather, doesn’t close the office early before holidays, office is open the day after Thanksgiving, archaic website, opportunities to work from home are limited depending on level and department, etc. Depending on your department and role, they... will work you until you burn out and there’s very little reward (would be somewhat worth it if they offered end of the year bonuses at the very least). They’re losing talented hard-working people and from the outside looking in, it doesn’t seem they have an interest in figuring out what needs to change.

    There’s been a shift in company cultures across the globe—we’re seeing a lot more flexibility and a higher value on keeping employees happy. Take note. You can’t expect the company to grow and attract (and retain) new talent if there’s no willingness to retire those old ways of thinking.

    Inconvénients

    At the time, lack of direction for the company in the region and lack of local mentors. Poor internal systems resources and MAJOR lack of support regarding the internal project management systems. Poor marketing segment support.

    Culture is horrible. So much turnover for a reason.

    Avantages

    Some staff tend to be supportive, but this is more of an exception than norm. Competitive pay.

    Inconvénients

    There's a lack of team spirit, and open communication. There is a lot of conversation about keeping an employee's interests in mind to help with a career path but this does not translate into action.

    Updated office space in a good location

    Inconvénients

    Very antiquated work environment. Zero flexibility to work from home, 10 vacation days, and no room for growth. Greeley and Hansen does not invest in their employees, therefore it is a big revolving door. If you are looking for a company with a good work life balance, this is not the place.

    Nice offices, reasonable pay, opportunities for overtime

    Inconvénients

    No mentoring or support of staff, favoritism towards certain employees, ignores employee interests, no flexibility

    Focus on employee happiness and individual growth over the appearance of the company to the client. Many of the employees that left while I was working there left due to issues that could have easily have been resolved if management had been more supportive. Offer flexible hours and work locations i.e. working from home, flexible core hours. Provide employees ample support and training on project work, particularly... new types of projects and working with new clients. Be honest with employees about the direction of the company.
