    Avantages

    The benefits are pretty good.

    Inconvénients

    Terrible middle management with no experience in managing people. Micro managed daily . Every day procedures and guidelines change . Revolving door of employees in department. High stress environment.

    Commission-when you finally get it.

    Poor management, little to no training on product.

    STOP the mico-management! Get your pricing system fixed and stop ripping off customers! CARE about your customers and CARE about your Sales Teams. Have worked for 3 other home builders and THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER WORKED FOR. Went thru numerous managers and Upper management adjustments, unstable company, financially in BIG trouble! Upper Management needs to check in with employees and LISTEN to them.

    Good commissions and homes are beautiful.

    Inconvénients

    A sales position at K Hovnanian in the Orlando division - management does not treat sales associates fairly. Upper sales Management exhibits a culture which lacks professionalism. Leadership promote gossip and favoritism and lack the ability to remain objective due to personal Relationships with sales people. There was a lot of gossip among sales people and management. They would talk about salespeople to other sales people. You are placed in communities not due to your ability to sell homes but the level of friendship with upper management. Consequently turn over is very high in sales. Their is a lot of drama and politics involved a Sales position with K Hovnanian. Which is odd because there should be no place for that with good leadership. This is probably the reason they have so many sales positions available.
    Employees leave companies because of management. Which is the reason 3 of their sales people have quit is the past 6 months. I am writing this review to hopefully help others avoid making a regrettable decision working here. You will work hard at selling homes and then have to walk away leaving commissions on the table because you can
    no longer take going to work under such unprofessional leadership.

    This advice would be for upper management in New Jersey to visit the divisions more often and speak with the sales people to find out truly what is going on with the company and how the employees are being treated. They would be shocked.

    Most rank and file employees are talented and hardworking

    Senior Executives.
    The Executive Leadership is a scary mess. The CEO and COO rule by fear. They lead by colored graphs, charts and micro management. When they make rare visits to the front lines, it’s kiss the ring time. Nobody dares tell them the kind of intel that matters. So they continue their autocratic leadership. This year they have added Group and Corporate Sales and Marketing executives in newly created positions. While they have injected more bureaucracy, they are yet to yield any value to operations. COO attended a sales leadership seminar with the company’s sales leaders. His comments and demeanor to the group had a hostile tone. I was embarrassed for him and us. The CEO has made company wide marketing decisions that boggle the mind. Those closest to him fear presenting irrefutable data to counter those misguided directives. Morale company wide is at its lowest and the company’s stock is at a 52 week low. Go figure.

    Good work life balance with market pay

    Inconvénients

    Egomaniac CFO who has made terrible financial recommendations yet keeps his position through tearing down his finance and management team. Uses fear and intimidation vs. collaboration.

    Get rid of the old and in with newer capable finance professionals who are in touch with reality, employees and not dictatorships. CEO encourages and supports bad behavior.

    Inconvénients

    Treated like a number or cattle easily replaced, disrespected, always on eggshells like you were afraid to speak up if you did there was retribution. Just a terrible work environment.

    I would give negative stars if I could! Get your act together. You claim you are a team of inclusion start treating your employees as assets and nurture them not destroy them and manage by fear that is old school and will have you out of business

    Avantages

    Stable, benefits, paid time off, 2 weeks off after 5 years.

    Inconvénients

    Disruptive people in the office; lower management is petty, abusive and don't listen to the people who actually do the work. A hand full of people in particular in the office are gossips and inappropriate. It's a high school setting, unprofessional and it gets old quick. In my situation my manager smothered the flames and his entire team left over the course of a couple months and made promises he couldn't keep. He's gone now, but drove a lot of good people away before that happened.
