    J'ai travaillé chez Lowe's à temps partiel

    Avantages

Dynamic application-level port forwarding. This allocates a socket to listen to port on the local side

    Inconvénients

OpenSSH also supports forwarding Unix domain sockets and IP packets from a tunnel device to establish a VPN (Virtual Private Network).

Je travaille chez Lowe's à plein temps (Pendant plus de 5 ans)

    Avantages

Decent pay for retail. Decent benefits and 401k. Paid time off. Sick time.

    Inconvénients

Management is terrible. Gutless, clueless, lazy, unkind and uncaring. Scheduling is awful. No set schedules. Not enough people do do the amount of work required. They do NOT care about their employees.

    Conseils à la direction

    Grow a pair!

Je travaille chez Lowe's à plein temps

    Avantages

    * Work/ Life Balance for hourly associates
    * Great leadership from the top that cares about the stores - Marvin is a great addition

    Inconvénients

    * Not so much work/life balance for upper management, but I see this changing with Marvin changes

Je travaille chez Lowe's à temps partiel (Moins d'un an)

    Avantages

Friendly management and staff, solid hours 24+, one hour lunches and a break every 2 hours, lenient punishment on attendance (takes like 10 tardies to get a verbal warning), friendly vibe and not too much stress with the workload, management hardly checks up on you unless they asked you to do something specifically

    Inconvénients

Management isn’t really effective in giving orders, they’re all on different pages, too much of a friendly vibe which allows employees to pretty much do whatever so if you’re honest working, you’ll get annoyed quickly with the rules people break

No punishments on consistent call-offs which leaves departments short staffed and another department to pick up their slack, work and close every weekend unless you request if off

they play favorites HARD. if they like you, you’re in the clear. If they don’t, they will look for any reason to get you gone, or shaft you with closing while everyone gets the morning shift

you will NEVER get full time even if you worked there for x amount of years.

New employees get shafted and throw to the wolves when they first get hired which leads to them not knowing what they’re doing and getting in trouble for not knowing

A tardy and a call off are the same thing. 1 minute tardy equals no call no show and is treated the same way in terms of their attendance tracker. Pretty unfair

Management don’t really want to help because they’re so “busy”

    Conseils à la direction

Stop playing favorites, actually punish people,

    Avantages

I started as a cashier originally and worked my way up to a sales associate. There is room for advancement, and my fellow coworkers are great to work with.

    Inconvénients

The coverage is horrible now and management seems to change every couple of months. it seems like one employee is expected to do the work of at least 4 people.

J'ai travaillé chez Lowe's à temps partiel (Plus d'un an)

    Avantages

I loved working at Lowes while I was in college. They had really flexible hours. The minimum you have to keep is 10 hours a week. It's a great way to get a little extra money for food and gas. Your coworkers are nice. Most customers are understanding of delays.

    Inconvénients

The cashier computers are difficult to learn at first, it's a DOS(disk operating system). It's an all keyboard, text-based OS, so there is no mouse (unless you're working with Sterling, it has a better GUI). But you'll end up liking DOS more in the long run because Sterling makes you take extra steps. There are a lot of keyboard commands you have to learn. You'll get the hang of it after 2 weeks, but it's difficult until you get past that mark.

Working at the return and pickup desk. It's gotten a lot better with the Sterling system once we started using it. But if it's busy, there are a lot of customers waiting on their orders.

    Conseils à la direction

You're doing the best you can. Keep it up!

Also, please don't make everything Sterling. Keep it to only lumber and the pickup desk. It will be difficult for staff to transition into a more technical position.
