    Avantages

    Great Job Out Of College. Good Pay, Good Benefits, Cool Atmosphere In the Middle of Downtown. Great Lunch Spots.

    Inconvénients

    Management ignored every complaint when I was there & Acted in their own interest.
    Average Product, hard to find longevity in it.
    Some Sr Workers looked down upon younger, millennial staff.
    Move Up or Move Out Sales & BD Culture.
    No Culture.
    I could go on, but you get it.

    Get a Better Product. Get a Culture. Hire Management that isn't hardheaded. Be Honest.

    Avantages

    Good people, with good intentions. Some of the culture is so good it is what keeps people around. "Empowerment" is a double edged sword.

    Recommendations to friend: If you can negotiate a good comp stay, if the comp is bad leave after a year. Promotions are thrown out like candy in place of raises.

    Inconvénients

    Failure to execute. Everyone wants to do what needs to be done, they just "can't."
    - Can't execute: Employees at varying levels are blocked from doing what needs to be done. Other employees use it as an excuse not to do what needs to be done.

    Pay is still a problem for some even after the "big" adjustments. Either a signal for someone to leave or failure to explain the decision.

    Still a disconnect between Senior Management and Middle Management. Does middle management talk to anyone, above or below?

    Be more direct from Senior Leadership to Middle Management. Increase manager responsibilities on Mid management and reduce their individual contributor responsibilities.

    Avantages

    Laid back environment and lack of defined goals isn't really a plus.

    Inconvénients

    Too many to list. Extremely high turn-over rate. Revolving door employment. "Re-organization" eliminated a lot of positions; those positions, now under other titles, are listed on Glassdoor.

    Conseils à la direction

    Stick to your core business and understand it. Get someone at the helm who knows how to run a company rather than hiring a consultant who tells them what to do.

    Avantages

    Great co-workers and positive environment (for those that don't get let go by the many lay-offs). Good benefits, lots of work, and interesting projects

    Inconvénients

    Lack of career path and advancement opportunities. Not sure who is making the decisions to lay off certain personnel but some folks that are let go are crucial to successful business in this industry. I wish Omnitracs luck with the tribal knowledge gone.

    Avantages

    Great people to work with at peer level. Management not is much. For the most part a good work/life balance.

    Inconvénients

    Mgt does not communicate often enough, especially at leadership level. Benefits so-so. Lots of changes. Clear company is reorganizing to sell the company. Lots of good people let go, while hanging on to iffy workers. So all about $$ not quality of work people bring to the table. It's a shame.

    They are going to do what they want, how they want. No advice will change the mindset at this juncture. Good luck.

    Avantages

    The new CEO who joined the company in early 2018 is overhauling the company for the long term, with significant changes having already been made in organization structure and key leadership positions. A long-awaited consolidation of 2 major acquisitions is underway that will lead to a single consolidated product line which will feature the best features of each platform. The organizations have been consolidated as well. Overall, a lot of positive changes are taking place that make the future bright for this company.

    I would not have "recommended to a friend" a year ago, but would now.

    Inconvénients

    Small company problems. Lack of documentation, insufficient flow of information from product management. Somewhat weak on employee benefits and salaries. Changes in the industry add a bit of uncertainty in the short term.

    Avantages

    It's a decent company, great just starting out with an opportunity to do meaningful work and develop your skills.

    Inconvénients

    Owned by a private equity company thats always looking to tighten their budget while simultaneously raising the bar. This means bi quarterly lay-offs and uneasy employees. It seems bi-quarterly the up production with new hires, then lay them off 5 months later. Join at your own risk.

    Im curious how this business model will last in the long-run. At least make some sort of effort to not over hire which results in layoffs. There are some people here that twittle their fingers all day and some that do a crap ton a day. Soon this company will get a bad rep and good luck finding quality employees, keeping quality products and satisfying your quality clients. Competition is out their and they will swap from roadnet if you cannot keep up with the latest technologies. The new employees that can learn new tech like containers, blockchain and the innovation of autonomy wont be able to save you if you keep laying them off. Invest in at least a few for the long run..

    Avantages

    Company pays for you to ride the dart to work.

    Inconvénients

    There is no care for the employees that work in the company. The focus is on management and looking out for themselves. If you are an employee, you will sit in a dead end position until you find a job that will value you and treat you right. The company says they look out for all employees but if you are not in management or a very good friend of a manager you will not be taken care of.
    Pay compared to other companies is significantly LESS.
    No room for advancement. They hire outside before they promote within.

    Bring in a team that can rebuild the culture of the organization because the current management team is not the best fit. The change in CEO was supposed to focus on the employees but that has not happened and if he thinks it did he is more unaware than a CEO should. HR was put in place to make changes but they must all be friends with the current management team.
