    Avantages

Power really strives to help their people succeed. There's a strong focus on personal development. It's a safe work environment and courteous like no other place I've experienced. Everyone really cares and is engaged in each other's lives, extending to our customers

    Inconvénients

The work can be very demanding and high performance is expected however, management does a great job of reaching out if anyone is struggling.

J'ai travaillé chez Power Home Remodeling en Contrat Permanent (Plus d'un an)

    Avantages

The culture within this company is far different (in a great way) from other organizations. Management is well trained, passionate and knowledgable, these approaches and attitudes inevitable trickle down. There is an endless amount of upward mobility and professional growth within Power as well. The philosophy of the company is essentially to serve their employees first, because the company understands the value of having good and loyal workers. Power not only prepares you for other professional pursuits, but also for life in general. Their approach to work is very practical and empowering. While working at Power I was constantly pushed to reach my highest potential and always supported. This company does things for their employees that most people wouldn't do for their own family members. The earning potential is unreal and from my experience it changed a lot of people's lives financially, including mine. Power is also a progressive and innovative company that always looks to do things differently than other companies. Power puts on annual conferences addressing pertinent global, national and company wide topics/issues, which is always wonderful for a resume. If invited to the conferences they always cover major costs (hotel, food, flight). One of the things I like bout Power most is that no matter where you go, you can take you job with you in most cases. Power has expanded all across the nation and allows office transfers and relocation, sometimes with monetary compensation depending on the reason for the move. Not to mention, they have great benefits!

    Inconvénients

The hours can be rough whether sales or marketing, but as you earn your stripes and learn how to manage time ( which are skills that are taught within the organization) you get used to it. There is a lot of commitment when it comes to Power. Commitment isn't a bad thing, it just isn't for everyone. With the nature of the company and the culture, Power very easily becomes your life 7 days a week. Mainly because it is so enjoyable, but if you have a hard time being committed and don't like to be very engaged personally or professionally, Power may not be the place for you.... however it is worth a try! Every company has cons or negative aspects, but what sets Power aside from other companies is that your voice is heard. If there is something that you don't like, you can speak on it and not be uncomfortable. Change is something that is embraced within Power, especially if it can help them be a better company.

    Conseils à la direction

Management at Power is always evolving. New ideas, concepts and approaches are welcomed constantly. My advice to management is to never lose the open minds that most, if not all of them have. I also appreciate the process of merit based promotion and advancement that management instills. Continue to be leaders in and out of the office and continue to empower your employees.

    Avantages

Amazing culture. Everyone here wants you to do well and wants to help you do well. Incredible opportunity to not only make a lot of money but to grow personally and professionally. You dictate your career path here and everyone will help you come up with a plan to hit those goals.

    Inconvénients

Not much to say but maybe long hours. But that’s expected with a full time job.

J'ai travaillé chez Power Home Remodeling en Contrat Permanent (Pendant plus de 3 ans)

    Avantages

    -Potential to earn high commissions
-"Young person" friendly schedule - first appointments at 10am or later most days, but expect to be working till 8/9/10/11pm four nights a week
-Paid training ($100/day, 5 days a week, for 5 weeks)
-Potential to travel (training, earning rewards trips, end of year trip....being a minority/woman will help you a lot in the rewards department)

    Inconvénients

-100% commission based, so income can vary based on your performance
-Cancellation of projects - this will not be discussed to you until it happens (see more below)
-Lots of driving each day - have a good gas mileage vehicle that isn't a lease

The job is pretty straight forward - you get a text at some point during the day. You don't know when it'll be, so you could get an appointment at 10am or you'll sit around all day until 5pm. You will average 2 appointments a day, but there are days you'll get none or one and other days you have four.

You show up to the address that was texted to you and begin a 2-4 hour process of trying to sell windows or roofing or siding. The presentation takes a few weeks to learn but isn't that bad. Once you've finished, you are expected to sell a project - between $3k and $70k - before you leave. This is known as first call closing. It feels great when you get a "yes" but 60-90% of the time you won't get a sale. Once a project is sold, you don't have any more work to do for it - it gets passed on to the next stage. What sucks is the potential for the homeowner to cancel the project (you lose your commission) or for the installers to have issues when installing the project (your commission takes a hit). You have to be mentally strong for this job.

Not a great career for those who are married or with kids, but the potential is there. People do make $100k+ each year, but others will make $30k. Only 1 out of 3 people who get hired are still working after 6 months. The job is hard. But it can be done.

    Conseils à la direction

You have a model that works and tell people up front that it's hard - just don't pretend that there isn't other companies who are just as good and have different perks.

Offer different schedule options (more nights off if you work weekends, etc...)

Je travaille chez Power Home Remodeling à plein temps (Plus d'un an)

    Avantages

A lot room for growth, all tools and support to be successful, you work hard and you’re rewarded, my co-workers are like family, and you can a lot of money than most entry positions available.

    Inconvénients

The work schedule is demanding, Income is solely commission, no gas stipen, no paid days off and a lot of maintenance with you vehicle with the amount of driving. I wouldn’t recommend someone who doesn’t have a reliable car that couldn’t 60 miles a day.

    Conseils à la direction

I think our management is one of the best in the country. I don’t have any advice for them because I heavily lean on them whenever I can.
