    since telus grew through a number of acquisitions, a lot of internal processes can be frustrating. It does take very good people skills, lots of patience, and ability to adapt everyday. The industry in general can be like a ocean - calm on the surface, but very strong undercurrents underneath. work-life balance can be challenging.     Fellow sales team members were usually great folks with a genuine ambition to succeed and help one another. The company offers a wide range of career paths for those looking to differentiate their work experience. The company's investment in fibre infrastructure throughout BC and Alberta is an exceptional undertaking that will benefit Canada for decades to come.

    Inconvénients

    Management was constantly in a state of flux and emergency and not willing to address shortcomings in leadership in sales or other departments across the company. As with all large corporations it is who you know not what you know. This is not inherently bad but it has lead to a current culture of back scratching and protectionism.     Look to keep senior people who have a natural and genuine ability to lead and mentor instead of keeping yes-men in positions of power with no other experience other than TELUS. Being around for 20 years does not make a leader. Good luck to Navin!

    Avantages

    The team was very close knit and we worked remotely but hand in hand with Google employees at their various Corporate locations, including Mountain View, Chicago, and New York City to support high end advertising clients including Zappos and 360i. The interaction with the client base was very rewarding. Telus itself had a great volunteer services culture to the local community which I thought was fantastic!

    Inconvénients

    The Telus Center itself had a very big issue with bathrooms (only 3 stalls and 4 urinals for males out of the entire building!) and this persisted for over two years before being addressed at a center with over 500 male employees. To their credit, they did fix this eventually by expanding one restroom and adding another additional restroom, but it languished for quite some time.

    The best advice I could have gave to Telus as a whole would be to show a bit more transparency in some decisions and managerial promotions. There seemed to be a lot of resentment from other Campaigns (not so much the Google DoubleClick Campaign) in the promotion choices. This may have been addressed since 2014, however.

    the best part of it is the people that you will meet. like any other places, you will get along with some and others but overall everyone is respectful even though they will always be someone talking on your back. you also learn from this experience just like any other job. negotiation and resolution of problems are the main part of your job.

    Inconvénients

    the management team. Lack of leadership and teamwork. Lack of professionalism and engagement even though the number are higher than what the employees think. the management team advise to write negative comment on the engagement survey; However, it is better to give a good grade in order to show that the department is engaged and bring more jobs to Montreal!!! Managers are unable to answer basic question about career...

    Need to lead by example and embrace the culture and the values of the company. lack of engagement from the management team( I had 5 different manager). they seemed lost and lack leadership and knowledge. not the best department to move up! very stressful due to the atmosphere and lack of recognition.

    Large national company run out of Toronto = no awareness of any other issues other than Toronto issues.
