HomeAway technology stack has come a long way. One of the most appealing things about working here is the fact that you get to work with cutting edge technology. In addition, the engineering team are super smart, so working here is a great networking opportunity too.
Company is getting pretty big, and if you end up on the wrong team, you may find it that it is difficult for you to be impactful.216Réponse de Vrbo7y
Thank you for taking the time to leave a thoughtful review. We love a good tech stack as much as the next tech company and it’s great to hear you enjoy working on ours. Our Data Science and Engineering teams are so important to the success of HomeAway. You’re right though, we are growing rapidly. If someone finds themselves on a team that doesn’t quite feel right, we highly encourage internal movement and having a conversation with your manager.

Culture. Work Life Balance. Great people.
Reporting is a challenge and there's little opportunity for upward movement.

Great benefits all around (Health, PTO, Travel, Wellness, ect). A company that celebrates diversity.
Employees are still considered expendable. Mass layoffs have occurred.

Amazing Atmosphere friendly people flexible working
If you move to the Expedia side training is TERRIBLE! Once you get hired if you move around (up) in the company. You'll get a rate increase but not as much as you were hired outside the company

Pay is high average for position.
There is a level of sadness that has seeped into the employees, and upper management can’t even be bothered to care. The old timers talk about the good old days of start up culture, but it’s all gone. At every level they are perfectly happy to work people to the bone and leave you to rot or throw you away. They talk a good game of promoting from within, which does happen, but the established programs for that don’t work. In Customer Service a lot of the management has come from industries where their works are disposable, and it shows.
