I spent two years working at Soc Gen, and I can confidently say it was a deeply frustrating and disheartening experience. The most glaring issue was the abysmal management. It felt like a hierarchy of incompetence, with decisions being made by individuals who seemed to have little understanding of their own organization. This lack of effective leadership resulted in constant chaos and confusion. What was particularly maddening was the apparent aversion to utilizing innovative tools to save money and streamline operations. In an era where technology can drive efficiency and cost savings, Soc Gen appeared stuck in the past. It was painful to witness the squandering of opportunities to modernize and compete effectively. But perhaps the most distressing aspect was the mistreatment of employees. There was an apparent disregard for the well-being and job satisfaction of the workforce. Long hours, unreasonable demands, and a complete lack of work-life balance were the norm. The morale of the employees was in shambles, and there was a palpable sense of burnout and frustration. In conclusion, my time at Soc Gen was marked by poor management, a failure to embrace innovative solutions, and a disregard for the welfare of its employees. It's an environment I would caution anyone against entering, as it left me deeply disillusioned and disheartened.
