Bad management, if you are hired as a contractor your salary will be the bare minimum doing the same or even More than other people working for the company itself. And you will have NO benefits at all. (No insurance, no epic days, no sick days, less salary...) If you have any difference/problem/opinion with a superior you will be fired or demoted at any chance instead to get a solution. Be ready to do "your colleagues work" because they use to be "sick or ooto" quite often. The training is one of the worst I ever had, 'reading the internal guidelines' and that is all.

Great Benefits Great work-life balance Low-pressure job
Inconvénients
Leadership was more focused on building out their organization than supporting their employees or the business. The only time I met with a member of senior leadership, I got a 25-minute speech about where they went to business school and their jobs before coming to VMware. The only work you really do is financial planning - I got in trouble for 'overstepping' when I did additional work that my VP/SVP business partners asked for help on. Finance is very siloed and takes very little responsibility for the success of the business. I think for VMW and the business units to be successful the finance team needs to be a true partner and help their businesses succeed. Anyone who came as part of an acquisition had no career advancement opportunity. It was only if you had an MBA and were a buddy of management that you were given good opportunities.
