      Entretien pour Executive Assistant

J'ai postulé via un recruteur. J'ai passé un entretien chez Amazon (Somerville, MA) en juil. 2017

      Entretien

The interview process with PillPack was nothing short of a disaster. Not only was this company overwhelmingly unorganized and scattered - but three out the six people I had to interview with (yes, I had to have SIX INTERVIEWS!) were super rude. After the 3rd interview I had expressed to the recruiter handling the placement that I was disinterested - but they pressured me into continuing. It was a complete waste of time. Nobody interviewing me gave the same job description. Nobody knew what they wanted from the person they were hiring. And furthermore, the company refused to disclose any benefits or information about the role. I asked half a dozen times for benefits info, dress code, work hours, work from home options, etc. and each time I got the same answer: "we don't really give that out at this stage of the hiring process". Um, I'm sorry? At which point is that relevant to such a green HR department? 3 interviews or 6? Such a joke. Furthermore, I spoke to an acquaintance who worked at PillPack and they had recommended that I not take the role. They stated how poor the benefit options were and that the culture was disorganized, scattered, and toxic. Apparently, the last employee satisfaction survey was so poor that the company actually offered $1000 to anyone who left on their own accord. lol. In short, this company has no respect for prospective (and arguably current) employees and should be avoided. There's a ton of potential for the company to smarten up and refine it's hiring process, but until then don't even bother. After telling the recruiter I wasn't interested, the company came back saying they didn't think I wanted to be an EA forever so I didn't get the role (lol). They deserve an email giving them a nice opportunity for constructive feedback. They're a startup but they want a career EA? LOL. That is an oxymoron. A career EA would 1. never expose themselves to startup culture and 2. never put up with their unprofessionalism. I've been doing EA work for five years and will probably do so for another 10 or 15. But that doesn't mean I shouldn't have side hustles and dreams. But please, tell me more about how you're a progressive startup full of forward-thinking individuals but you're trying to hire a baby boomer EA to fetch you coffee until she retires. lol Just another green, immature company. Completely confused about the world in 2017. Take a hard pass at working here.

      Questions d'entretien [1]

      Question 1

They asked dumb questions like, "what were your childhood dreams?", "why did you become an EA?," "If you could do anything what would you do?", etc. etc. And then LITERALLY didn't hire me because I told the truth that growing up and dreaming of being an EA wasn't my childhood. Heaven forbid I had dreams outside of whatever job pays my bills. LMAO as if anyone grows up being like, yes! I want to babysit a bunch of grown up idiots my entire life! Helpful tip: lie to this company to get a job. That's apparently what they want.

Screening call, five ‘loop’ interviews & HM chat. Loop based on Amazon leadership principles & STAR interview format. You receive plenty of information on how to prepare for the interviews which are back to back and 1 hour each

Very intense. 2 phone screens and 4 45 minute interviews, known as the loop. The recruiter prepared me with much detail about what to expect. If you prepare, you’ll be fine.

Went through phone screening and never heard back even after reaching out to recruiter. It was unusual since they are usually quick on notifying you. I've went through a few interviews with them in the past.
