Although I wasn't interviewing for IT at all, I was placed in front of the head of IT initiatives who asked a bunch of tech questions I wasn't prepared for. Reason being, the HR rep, my second stop on the in-person interview, was out of the office that day. This was told to me as the first in-person discussion was ending. I am technically competent whoever was not interviewing for a tech position so I was scrambling to answer these questions a bit. The feeling at the end was that my answers didn't matter anyway. Time was just being filled until the next in-person appointment could be met.
