    I did a preliminary interview and just briefly discussed my history and information about the company. They are rebranding to the name Thrive Chicago which caused for me to research the incorrect company prior to the interview. My interviewer was very friendly regarding that issue though and explained that it was something that happened frequently.

    There were only two short rounds of interviews both ranging from fifteen to thirty minutes. Overall, very seamless interview process, but asked to sign a contract rather quickly and the job description and role was not really made clear

    The first round interview lasted less than 10 mins long. I never got to ask my questions and they never asked about my experience. It was obvious they never looked at my resume before and was listening to me during the interview. I found the interviewer to be very rude.

    Due to the current circumstances, our first interviews are over zoom just to get to know candidates better before potentially bringing them into the office. We look over all resumes beforehand, but like I mentioned, the first interview is much more preliminary. When we bring candidates back for a second interview, we go over resumes and questions in much more detail.     I was contacted on a holiday to set up an interview after I applied on LinkedIn. They believed I applied through ZipRecruiter which i found odd considering I haven't used it for around a decade. However they seemed to have the correct resume and email.

    I was scheduled for a Zoom call for the next day, which never initiated on their side. I called in after they were fairly late, and my contact had the interviewer call me on my phone instead. I was told they were mainly making sure I was interested and explaining the wages, etc.

    It was explained to me that all of their "entry level" positions are actually the same position despite having different job positions. I was also told that despite my impression of the job posting being that it was an office aspect of the company, it its 80% field oriented with only 20% of the work being in the actual office. I found this strange considering their emphasis on living near their office as important.

    Additionally, this is a commission driven position (all of them are) mainly selling things in stores (Costco, Target, etc).

    I ended up declining to continue discussing the position because I applied under the idea I was looking at an office portion of the marketing process.

    Hello there,

    We always appreciate feedback and would love to address a few of these concerns. First off, I would like to apologize for the technical issues through zoom. We of course wanted to give you a call to let you know we were having issues connecting to zoom and to make sure we got a chance to speak to you. The first interview is very preliminary which we always mention in the process. We are living in uncertain times, so of course we want to make sure you are comfortable working with people, to make sure the office would be a good commute seeing as we do not have remote availability, and of course explain the day to day to see if it could be a good fit. We have a 3 step interview process, and the first is more just to get to know our candidates. As far as our entry level positions, we don't hire directly into a management position or corporate trainer, we want to ensure this person is qualified for the position. That being said, we do have a standard training period that everyone must go through, no matter what position they applied to. As you will see in the ad you applied to, this is NOT a commission driven position. We offer a salary in addition to uncapped commissions on top. However, we wish you the best of luck in your job search and hope this cleared things up!

    There was a screening, then a group interview, then a 1 on 1 interview. It was a great process and I wouldn't do anything differently. The interviewers were very polite, nice, and welcoming.

    I applied on LinkedIn. The process took less than 24 hours to get an email back. I was skeptical due to all the reviews and it pretty much all ended up being true. I was interviewed and was briefly told they would have space in a Costco and other stores like that where my role would interact with clients. The guy laughed at me at one point after talking about one of my experiences. Never heard back but was not planning on even replying.

    We like to break our interview process up into 3 steps. First step, we just want to get to know you one on one. Second step is where we like to move into a group setting to see how candidates interact with us as well as each other. Seeing as communication is a very large part of what we do, this is what we want to see. The one on one after the group interview is where any questions can be answered and we can discuss your questionnaire with you and we make decisions within a few days after that.
