    I went through an agency for Continuum (Mumbai). The slot scheduled for me was 11.30. I got 4 phone calls before 11.00 to check if I will be able to make it on-time. 2 from agency and 2 from Continuum itself. I reached there at 11.15. There were a lot of candidates around 50. My interview started at 3.00. No one bothered to tell us that it's going to take so much time. A lot of guys who came from far places were on time but everyone's turn was 2-3 delayed of the slot they were communicated.
    Their management was a mess. They provided snacks and lunch though.
    It even took half an hour to be called for the second round after I cleared the first round.

      Microservices architecture advantages.

    • The second round was taken by Principal Software Engineer. He had a communication problem and wasn't able to express clearly what he wanted as a solution. He asked me 2 questions.
      1. Given an array, divide it in half at the midpoint and convert it into two stacks, one for the first half and second for the other half. Design a class such that it contains push and pop methods. Push method will take argument A or B for the first and second half respectively along with the value to be pushed. If A the value should be pushed to the first half. Similarly pop would take the argument A or B. If B, it should pop a value from the second half.   1 réponse
    • 2. There is a GET API that responds with very large data. For example, employee records where each record contains all the fields of an employee. But the customer is not happy with such a big response which put burden on the network. What can you do to change the API to respond with less amount of data.     You need whole day to appear for the interview. As it starts with your introduction to HR and later followed by 3 tests, technical round, managerial round and again technical round to check your indepth knowledge.

    There were 2 technical and one managerial round. The recuriter told it would be an hour interview, but when I went there were people waiting for more than 4 hours, so I told HR I had to leave as I was not informed that it is a day long event, she arranged for my 1st round and I left after the round. I was again called for couple of hours on another day for round 2 which also went fine, but the interviewer's mind was completely out of process as it was their deployment day so he use to come and go and nearly took 2 hours for a normal interview. For3rd round I was again called up for managerial round which too went fine. After confirming on 20% hike they want to negotiate on it and have kept me on hold.

    One more thing they are using GO language

    Minimum 3 rounds for the interview process, 1 is communication which is very though, 2 and 3 are technical rounds, if you cleared the communication round then only you are eligible for the 2 and 3 round because this company focuses on communication skills because of the various process.

    I was approached by an HR consultant firm Anlage who had set up the interview with Continuum. There was a very simple online test which I had excelled and hence I was called for a face to face interview. On arriving at the location, I was told to fill out a form and upon submission, I was told to wait in a conference room along with few others who had come for the interview. Their hospitality was really good which I think is the only positive point. I was called by an interviewer who took me to a cabin where the interview started. The interviewer started off with asking basic questions like tell me about yourself and inquired about my past projects. One very bad behaviour about the interviewer was that he always interrupted me when I was saying something about a particular thing and used to change the topic pretty often. The questions were very basic related to polymorphism, OOP, collections etc. At one point he asked me whether I worked with generics which slightly threw me off. He told me to write two very simple programs with basic constructs. One of the programs, he wanted me to use Arrays instead of Collections. Upon inquiring on the need to do so, he said he wanted to look at my for loops. In my opinion, this interviewer was a junior developer who didn't know anything about interviewing at all. Upon asking, he said he was a Dot Net developer who was moving to programming in golang for the product at hand. I inquired why was golang selected to which he had no idea and said it was a management decision to which he had no say in it.

    The interview was very disappointing and at some point, I had lost the interest in even answering to the interviewer's questions which I agree isn't right on my part but sometimes, some interviewers do get on your nerves and you just want to get out of it. I do not pity such interviewers but the HR who select such interviewers to interview candidates. It's the HR's duty to understand who needs to interview what kind of candidates which I think is missing in most HRs nowadays. Also, HRs lack honesty and tell the candidate that they are thankful to them for attending the interview and would let the candidate know about the result but they do not bother to get back to them with the result. This was the same with Continuum's HR which shows their lack of professionalism. Neither the HR recruitment firm Anlage's HR bothered to reply back with the results even after sending them email reminders. I would not recommend Continuum or Anlage for any kind of interviews. It was seriously disappointing with the HR firm and their client continuum at every step of the interview process.

      1. Polymorphism, OOP
      2. Program to count the number of characters in a string and display the count of each string. Interview told to solve this problem using 2-dimensional arrays and not Maps.
      3. Program to find if the string is a palindrome.

    I was interviewed in Dec 2016 on Saturday . Process could have been properly managed. We had to wait for 2-3 hours before our first round of interview was taken.

    Very good Process of interview. There are 3 Rounds of Interview. Aptitude and two Technical rounds.
