I was approached by the recruiter to schedule a screening call.
After reaching out saying they were impressed with my profile, they ended up not proceeding for further interviews saying "We decided not to move forward with your application and to continue with candidates having a stronger experience in data science."
Knowing that my CV is very clearly mentioning what do I know and what I am willing to learn, and I have enough all around experience to show that I am passionate, coachable and willing to carry on your business to success. I don't understand why wasting people time in the first place, unless there are other reasons why they didn't move forward with an actual technical interview.
The recruiter looked tired, distracted and didn't look interested in the call at all.
Finally she asked about salary expectations, and maybe that's what put them off, because if it was a technical concern, they would have decided in the next technical interview.
