I had two interviews. One with the recruiter and the other with the hiring manager. The first interview was on the phone. The first interview was very straightforward and steps of the selection process was clear. The second interview with the hiring manager was virtual. It wasn't a good interview as the hiring manager began veering off course and then kept asking questions to use up all of the scheduled time as if he was interested. I say this because because he then ended the interview as if the next contact I would be getting would be a job offer. I got an email the next day saying the hiring manager was moving on with other candidates after I sent two emails to follow up. It was also very odd that a person I never talked to send me a text message about my second with the hiring manager. I literally had to contact the recruiter to verify. This is very unprofessional and tasteless in my opinion and speaks volumes.
