Applied through my university and also met recruiter at career fair. First interview was over the phone with the recruiter and if everything went well, they were gonna invite you to the 2nd round which was basically at the EY location. During the wait, you are going to receive an email with information regarding what is going to happen when you visit which is basically 2 behavioral interview and 1 case study. On the day of the interview, you will be placed in a room and 3 different EY workers of higher status/position will interview you within the 2 hour span. The case study interview seem easy but in the back of my mind I knew it was more to it but make sure every little word you state is clear and proper and take notes on paper. For some reason, during my interview it felt like it was more of a get to know me then an actual interview since they asked me one question and then talked about EY and that particular interviewer role. In addition, when you arrive, the recruiter will show you around and be careful on how they talk since they make you believe that the job is yours and what not. Overall, dont get your hopes too high. In the end, after the 2 week wait, I received the email stating that they could not offer me anything which of course was upsetting but yet I was just full of questions since it was a unique interview.

Due to Covid it was a 3 part video interview with 3 interviewers. Each interview was 30 minutes long and followed the end of each virtual call. If you prepare well and can speak to your resume it will be an interesting conversation with various professionals who are experts in their field

      Entretien

I was contacted by a recruiter about the position. We had a 30-minute phone call and then later that week I had three 30-minute video interviews with people in the Financial Crime Compliance chain of command. The interviews were mostly about my experience with anti-money laundering investigation, mentoring/coaching, and serving as a team lead. There were also a couple behavioral interview questions. The interviews went well, although the video platform had technical difficulties for the last one so we had to do it over the phone. The following morning, the recruiter called me to say they received positive feedback from the interviews and wanted to make me an offer. I filled out the pre-offer template and some forms for the background check and was told to expect an offer later that week. Then, radio silence. I did receive an update two weeks later, wherein the recruiter emailed me to tell me that the Labor Day holiday had messed with everyone’s schedules and gotten them behind. But it ostensibly had nothing to do with my candidacy. I thought that was a little weird, but went with it. And then I got completely ghosted. I followed up with the recruiter and never even got a response. It has now been almost two months since I interviewed, and I have no idea if it was something I did/said or if the position/hiring process got canceled or postponed. I guess it’s not too uncommon to be treated like this, but I find it highly unprofessional. I expected more from EY. I’m just glad I didn’t say anything to my current job, since I was 90% sure I was going to take this position!
