Entretien

Very clear cut. Only had to have a phone interview and an in-office interview with the hiring manager and another EA who had a substantial tenure with the firm. Typically you have another round with the Partners but the hiring manager thought my personality was flexible enough to work with anyone.

    I applied May 29 and was contacted by a recruiter June 5. We set up a phone interview for the next day. The phone call was about 15 minutes and I was asked about my previous experience and career goals and was told more about the position. At the end of the interview she told me that someone would contact me to set up an in-person interview. Two days later I received an email with a date, time and details regarding my in-person interview. The interview was scheduled for a week later. The in-person interview was with one of the hiring managers in the office I'd be working at. She went into more detail about the training and the position. The only thing I was really asked was to talk about my background and experience. I was told that I would hear from my recruiter early the following week (my interview was on a Friday). I received a request for a background check late Wednesday night, and then received an offer the following Monday evening. Overall, it was an easy and smooth interview process.

    Entire process was very long so if you do not hear from them after applying do not give up hope! I applied in late Jan. 2018 through Indeed. Got an email on Feb. 27 to set up a phone interview with the HR Recruiter. Phone interview was on Mar. 1 and took about a half hour to complete. At the end of the phone interview she told me that she would email me to set up a time for an in person interview to take place in about 2 weeks. The next day I got an email from the on site recruiter to confirm my interview time. The interview took place in the middle of March. It lasted about a half hour as well, and they did not ask too many questions, just some open ended questions about my experience and background, and how I am a good fit for the position. After the interview I took an online Microsoft skills test covering Word, Excel and Power Point. I scored well on it but did not hear from them until Saturday Mar. 17 asking me for permission to do a background check and to fill out an official application on their website. I finally got a call from the HR Recruiter the following Tuesday (Mar. 20) with a verbal offer. Almost a full 2 months from applying to offer, but it was a very good process by EY.

    The process took 5 interviews from phone to face to face. It took a little over 2 months from first interview to offer. Each interview was very comfortable and familiar. The interview path was from the location manager, to the Director of the group. Each interview took an average of 45 mins. This was a new group that EY had developed and needed staff to promote its services to eligible staff.

    The process was a little slow and confusing. My first interview was very casual and wa snot asked many questions pertaining to the job. I was told positions were probably filled but I would be called back for the second round of opening. I was called back months later for a more formal interview,

    Fair, Open, and Transparent. Easy to find location. Communications and logistics were accurate and specific. Very nice building inside and out. Fairly relaxed environment considering the type of business it is. Relaxed, but very professional.

    I submitted my resume and cover letter via the EY careers home page. A few days later I received an e-mail from an HR coordinator informing me that a recruiter would like to schedule a telephone interview with me. After speaking to the recruiter for approximately one hour, she informed me I would be contacted to schedule an in-person interview at the firm to which I applied. The telephone interview was no-nonsense and straight to the point; I was asked about my experience as it related to the position and several behavioral questions. The in-person interview took place two weeks later and was significantly breezier than the screening over the phone. It seemed that the recruiter who did the telephone screening mattered a lot, with some considered to be more thorough and tougher than others. At the end of the interview I was told I would be contacted by the recruiter with a verbal offer on the condition that I pass an online skills test for Microsoft Office. The following day I received the offer over the telephone and accepted. The next day the offer was sent to me in writing via e-mail.
