I applied online. Then got an email scheduling a phone interview. The phone call pretty brief, then got moved to a video interview. Declined the video interview because realized I didn't want to do this work.

It was an on-call interview, very easy and pleasant. They generally seem eager to hire you and despite my thinking I messed up a few questions, the interviewer seemed alright with it and offered me a 2nd round of interview at the end of the call

Was referred by Environment America after getting my initial application declined. Was contacted to schedule a phone interview. Was told at the end of my phone interview that I was a perfect fit for the position, and would be hearing from the head of HR shortly. Never heard back. Never received an offer...

The first interview is a phone call with a recruiter, the second interview is a Google Hangout video chat, and then after the second interview, they will let you know if you get the job in 1-2 weeks.

They have an interview process that goes in stages. The initial interview is brief, you can tell its only for them to assess you as a person and also see how they can place you based off your experience . The 2nd stage they invite you to be in the field with them canvassing, which really is just a way to get cheap/free labor from people . They offered me the position as Director, but wanted me to work over 60hrs a week on a 30k salary (no overtime)... talk about modern day slavery
Now months after this, they wont even give me the check for the one day I worked with them, wont reply to calls or e-mails. Dont do it to yourself - unless desperate and a great sales person, do canvassing.

There wasn't one because the interviewer failed to call me for my phone interview not once but twice. I find it unacceptable for any organization, when recruiting new hires, to fail so miserably in being unable to conduct a simple phone interview not once but twice.

tl;dr Don't apply for this job. It's absolutely a waste of time. I was stood up twice and ghosted after receiving an offer.

I first filled out an interest form in late December for Fund for Equality, and from that I was emailed a link to apply for the job. They asked me for my SAT score, which I though was weird because I've already graduated college and I did well in college - what's the point of knowing how I did on a test five years ago? After that, I had a phone screen with someone in HR. It was pretty easy and I was invited for a video interview.

I was completely stood up for the video interview - I called the person I was supposed to interview with, emailed her, and called HR, but absolutely no contact until the next day. I was pretty irritated at this point, but I was willing to still give them a chance, because I understand that sometimes people have personal emergencies. Finally, we rescheduled.

Another thing I find weird is that they take the time to go over the entire salary and benefits package (if you can even call it that) in both interviews. Salary is high 20k-low 30k, you don't get any vacation for the first year, no health insurance for I think 6 months, and you'll be working 60-80 hours a week. That's incredibly exploitative of workers and people who just want to make a difference. If you're working that many hours, you should at least be paid accordingly and given ample vacation time so you don't burnout. No wonder they have such high rates of turnover.

Anyway, I got an email from a different person a few weeks later saying they wanted to offer me the position, and she wanted to set up a phone call to go over the details. We set up a time, and guess what - she never called me. Like the last time, I called, I emailed, and nothing. Radio silence for two weeks and counting.

I never expected to be ghosted by a potential employer after two interviews and a job offer. Don't waste your time and energy by applying for this position.

Submitted an application for another job opportunity and received a response from an individual who referenced me to this organization for a better opportunity based on my credentials. Communication was by email. The interview process was selecting a phone interview that catered to your schedule. Scheduled the phone interview for 1/25/19. Never received a phone call at the 4:30 est appointment. A lack of respect and follow through is a reason why this organization's rating = pathetic. The organization advocates incremental changes in its narrative, so it makes sense that their ineffective email confirmation appointments align with a lackadaisical response. I'll be sure to keep them in mind when working at Capitol Hill.
