Very structured and extensive recruitment process. Next to the typical conversations, there are also some role plays foreseen to test skills and coachability. Strongest approach I have ever seen in a hiring process.

5 interviews. Starting with recruiter, to an account executive in role, and finally with the VP. The entire process takes roughly 2-3 weeks and is challenging. There are a few role plays throughout and they focus more on situational questions rather than experience.

The initial recruiter was well-organized and friendly, guiding me through the process efficiently. However, after passing multiple rounds of interviews, there was a sudden silence for 10 days. When I finally heard back, I was informed that I wasn't considered senior enough for the role, with no specific examples given. Instead, I was offered a lower-paying position without much explanation. The lack of communication and clarity throughout the process was disappointing and left me feeling undervalued.

Multiple rounds of 1x1 interviews and two mock calls. The first rounds are with Recruitment and their Skills Assessors team (unique to Gartner). The final rounds are with your hiring manager and sales leadership. Your recruiter is a valuable asset that you should leverage to prep for the mock calls and final presentation. The questions and the mock calls are standard practices - any seasoned Sales rep would not be surprised by these. The difficult part is the intensity of the entire process.

The interviews are with HR, and there's a STAR methodology to follow for the interview process. I went through the whole process but I haven't heard anything back. I'm disappointed because it's a lot of investment. It's always interesting to get feedback.

Got headhunted by an internal recruiter at Gartner, then followed by a long process with multiple presentations with only other internal recruiters to finally be told I won't meet with the hiring manager and they won't put me forward even though they gave me good feedback from the presentations!! waste of time and recruitment dept run by cowboys.

I have interviewed with Gartner 3x over the last 5 years and every time have been absolutely dumbfounded by something. I have had my potential future manager ask me what my husband did for a living and then why I was going to work if he had such a great job. I have had someone take a personal phone call during a panel interview and then been docked for running out of time (fine that happens in real life). I have just had a frankly rude recruiter who was consistently unprofessional. I have always put Gartner on a pedestal because of some of the reviews I see here and the successes I see the teams to have but the good people I've talked to in the past seem to have all left. Once I was told I did not get the role and twice I said I did not want the role because of the managers.

I got contacted by a recruiter in likendin. This recruiter from spain she contacted me about a senior account executive position. This recruiter set a time for a screening on Thursday at 17:00 and then cancelled last minute and rescheduled for Friday. I already have a full time job and prepared my self for the screening even found time. On Friday she just doesnt show up in the meeting at all.

Long, but fluid process. Big focus on challenger model. Last interview is 90 minutes with VP of sales that can be daunting. Must nail your role play or you won't succeed

Long and painful interview process. I have been in sales a long time and I came extremely prepared for the LSA (Lead Skilled Assessor) interview. I nailed the interview and we talked about which account I would manage as well as next steps. Two days later they told me I didn't move forward in the process, which was a shock based on the LSA interview. I asked for more information as to why and was told "I didn't provide enough detail during the interview". This is totally bogus because I know for a fact that was not the case. Either way, their process is terrible.
