The Ratings Analyst positions are filled by a temp agency which gets paid hourly for workers and deducts a certain percentage. The offer comes from the temp agency, and after undergoing several weeks training the analyst works under more experienced analysts, and starts rating their own plans when ready. After about a half-year, Guardian Life Insurance may extend an offer of direct employment with the option to get group insurance, and slightly higher pay (cutting out the temp agency), depending on how well the analyst rated plans, their feedback from audits, etc.

Brief telephone interview, then a group video interview. It was a quick and simple process and they were very helpful and friendly. A man called me a few days after submitting my application, then during the 10 minute phone call he said he’d follow up via email. I got an email the next day with a request to set up a phone interview.
