    hi,
    i submitted my CV via the company website , and i have a Skype call with the HR .
    now , i'm waiting for the feedback and update .
    After a few days , i got an email from the HR for scheduling skype/phone call .
    Then we had a short phone call , the HR person present her self and talked about the company and what are they looking for , and in other side i present my self and what i'm looking for what why i need to relocate to Germany .

    Clumsy two-man first chat. Positive and informative, open and extraverted. Nice experience.

    Practical task then sent. Days later received a standard email where application was declined although kindly asked for feedback, whatever the outcome.

    They interviewed me and strung me along for months telling me to wait and wait and wait. I had several phone interviews, 2 separate art tests for 2 different teams, and 2 separate in person interviews at their office. It all seemed to go well, they were polite and nice to me, office was modern and nice. But the company was so big and so corporate, that one can easily be lost in the shuffle. I was strung along for weeks and months each time, and never offered the position. They only said, ''we ended up hiring someone from the inside of the company for the project'', months later to me. What a waste of time. Why interview outsiders for months and give time consuming art test, if they just hire someone inside? I was angry at the waste of my time, as they jerked me around, keeping me on the hook.

    Extremely disappointing experience during the initial phone screening with HR. The HR called about 8 min later than the schedule and she seemed tired and totally uninterested in having a discussion. I didn't understand why she scheduled a phone call at all since it was total waste of time for both of us.

    I did the first interview with the HR recruiter. There were some complications with their videoconference app. We ended using Skype. Also there was a mistake that I realized after the interview: the original meeting time was at 13:15 and the recruiter waited until 13:20 and ended the session. I assume he started it at 13:00...
    Anyway, we manage to speak throughout Skype. The recruiter was very respectful and answered all my doubts. That part was great.

    An online application led to a very quick phone call with HR to talk broadly about the role and my background followed by a take-home product management exercise. I was given a week to complete the take-home assignment which involved a powerpoint slide deck and a supporting document.

    I then presented the assignment via Skype to other product managers and answered their questions on some of the finer points.

    In the end I was not offered the job as they felt my f2p answers were too shallow (but my team leadership component was very strong).

    HR guided the process really well throughout, and everyone was friendly and very professional.

    I talked to someone from HR through a phone call, and the person I talked to was nice. The call lasted more or less 20 minutes and I got basically asked about my professional experience. I didn't pass to the next stage of the process.

    1 quick interview with HR, CV based questions and experience related. HR described company strategy, what they are doing and how they are working. Next round of CC via Skype was proposed. After sometime next round was cancelled by unknown reason without explanation why that happened . any attempts to understand reason for that were ignored.

    The first video call was with the HR and took place two weeks after I applied. They sent me a test to complete in one week and then came the second video call, with the same person from HR, a Technical Artist and a Team Lead.

    I applied via a job ad, and got a very quick response by HR, asking for a phone interview. It lasted about 30 minutes and had very basic questions about what kind of work environment I would like and what my workflow looks like.
    Next was an art test to be completed within 3 days, relating to the project at hand, very straightforward.
    After passing the art test I was invited to an in-person interview in Hamburg, where I was interviewed by two groups of people with a short break in-between, then got to meet the rest of the team and was introduced to the project. The interviews were very conversational and even though exhausting, everyone was very friendly and made me feel at ease. Most of the questions were based on how I would approach certain design problems, relating to the project at hand (without me knowing about the project beforehand), a bit about my background, my expectations, and questions aimed at (inter)personal matters.
    The interview ended with a tour through the building and lasted about 2,5 hours. My travel expenses were refunded.
    I did not get an offer, but throughout the entire process I felt treated very well and everyone was friendly, quick with communication and they did their best to make me feel less nervous. I very much appreciate that.

      - Questions about previous work I did, and the logistics / pipeline of it, team structure, and trying to find out if I understand game production pipelines
      - How would you deal with a difficult colleague
      - What would your ideal team look like
      - What does a good team lead / manager look like to you
      - How would your friends describe you?
      - What will your biggest issue working in-house be?
      - A lot of technical questions regarding design issues, how I would approach certain problems and how I would redesign existing games they made - these questions were tough because I could tell they are prodding at the new project they are developing at the moment, but without me knowing (at that point) what that project is
      - Discussion of my art test, some feedback on it, asking for my opinion on it as well
      - What do you expect from your employer to make you happy?
      - What do you most want to improve in your current work? And what are you currently doing to work on that?
      - What other weaknesses do you have?

      Many questions were just following the flow of conversation, and follow-up questions to things I said, with some prepared questions added in between.   Répondre à cette question
