    Entretien

Organized in the beginning. Friendly staff. Got through to the final round then didn't hear anything for over a week. Thought for sure I'd get an offer and received the generic rejection email after reaching out to two different team members.

    Entretien

Phone interview with HR then set up another phone interview with the hiring manager. After a week, an onsite interview with 3 managers, one manager was straight forward about due to the lack of training, they’re looking for someone with strong technology background. After a couple weeks with a few back and forth follow up emails, they decided to move forward with other candidates. All in all, people are very nice to talk with.

    Entretien de DevOps Manager

    Candidat à l'entretien anonyme - Franklin, MA (États-Unis)

    Entretien facile

    Candidature

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 3 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien à Interactions (Franklin, MA (États-Unis)) en mai 2019.

    Entretien

I applied online and an HR rep reached out to set up a phone screen. I was honest about my experience and the fact that I was more on the infrastructure/OS side of the house and that I was not a developer. I was assured that it was not an issue.

They set up another phone interview, this time I met with a potential direct report who seemed very nice and we talked at a high level about where they were and what their aspirations were. Again, I was very honest about my skill set and where some of the gaps might be.

That seemed to go well, and I received an immediate email to set up another phone screen, this time with a VP, I believe for the next day. I replied that I was unable to meet at that day and time, but offered some other possibilities.

I received no reply for about a week, so I reached out again to the HR rep. He assured me that were still considering me and set up a date and time for me to meet with a number of people, an all day affair that forced me to take the day off from my current job.

I arrived to a parking lot so crammed with cars (no visitor spots that I could find) that I was forced to park down the street.

The facility itself is pretty ramshackle and tired, looks like an old mill building. At some point they made an attempt to jazz it up, but it had obviously not been maintained for quite some time, as there were holes in the walls, peeling paint, etc.

The receptionist was very nice, asked me to have a seat, and got me into a really tight, again ramshackle, conference room, tight int he middle of a fairly large, bustling open concept office.

The first guy I met with, a Director of some sort, immediately told me that they were only interested in a developer. I sighed, told him straight out that I was not a developer, but a sysadmin who had supported developers for a very long time, and that I had been part of many DevOps teams. I also told him that I had been very straightforward at all times about my experience.

We continued to talk, but it was obvious he was uninterested. My next interviewer was OK, but he obviously had been asked to sit in as filler as he had no idea what the role was, who it reported to, or what the goals were.

When that ended, I met with a technical resource, again OK, not very professional at all, but seemed nice and knowledgeable. At the end of that half hour, I was told that the interview was over, something like 2 hours early.

I was informed via email a week later that i was no longer being considered. I replied back thanking them for the opportunity and asking for any feedback they might have had. i received no response.

    Questions d'entretien d'embauche

    • None of the questions were very technical, so nothing difficult. Just irksome that I was open with my qualifications and experience and they chose to waste my time anyway.   Répondre à cette question

    Entretien de VUI Designer

    Candidat à l'entretien anonyme - Franklin, MA (États-Unis)

    Expérience neutre
    Entretien facile

    Candidature

J'ai postulé via une autre source. J'ai passé un entretien à Interactions (Franklin, MA (États-Unis)) en mai 2019.

    Entretien

Phone interview with engineer (CA) and then flown to Franklin for face-to-face with 4 others. The phone interview and the last interview at Franklin with VUI designer (via zoom) were good and on point, but the three department heads who interviewed me in person at Boston admitted freely they didn't prepare for the interview at all. Basically I just had a nice chat with these people. This fact and a couple questions I asked them made it clear that the disconnect between higher management and employees noted in the glassdoor reviews is real. Seems pretty clear management isn't sure of the company's direction, communication is very poor, and the company is floundering about wasting money. My best guess is that they are merely preparing to be bought out. Too bad I didn't see the Glassdoor reviews before I went, but they do help explain what happened. Still, I had a good time visiting. Though I was eminently qualified for the job as advertised and the interviews went well, after 3 weeks I got an email (after some prodding) stating they needed people with computer science degrees, which was never a requirement for this position. They contacted ME for this position via LinkedIn, I didn't contact them. And after the interview they changed their requirements.

A few phone interviews and then an in-person interview at their Franklin office. All of the staff from the recruiter to the managers were great to interview with! I felt like the recruiter did a good job helping me to know what was coming. The in-person interview was great to meet the team. Very professional and great company!

I found the job opening on Built In Boston. I was contacted a few days after applying for a phone interview. The phone interview was on Tuesday, I had a second on Wednesday, and on Thursday I was asked to fly out the following week for an in person interview with a few team members. I had 6 interviews in the office and absolutely loved everyone I met with! They were a big reason why I chose to accept the position.

Applied online and was contacted by the recruiter. General questions and didnt seem the recruiter had much of an idea about the role. He started with explaining AI etc and when i asked about AI and ML, he went blank. I had to follow up after a week and I got a pass--I wonder he ever reached out to the CIO. The role seems just like a placeholder and probably result of their customers asking questions about cyber and assurance. I have a feeling this person will just be a glorified secretary whose throat will be on line for the mess company is in. I can bet the person/role wont last for more than an year, and it can be for many reasons. Not to mention the subpar compensation.

Steer clear, Recruiter is very unprofessional and can’t be bothered to return a call or email. Don’t waste your time! Good first interview and we agreed on a 2nd, then ghosted. Why are recruiters allowed to be so unprofessional?
