I applied online in January 2016. The process took 3 days.
First phone interview: they asked me just few questions.
Second personal interview: they asked me about my previous experiences and expectations, language skills and then we had a short phone call simulation.

The initial interview request email was sent via email, and with over 13 emails, this never went through due to inefficient communication regarding scheduling. Very unimpressed with the recruiting process and you can only imagine how well the actual business is run under such circumstances.

Overall a negative experience I guess this is what the “startup” environment is. Phone screenning was ok and the HR seemed to be impressed by my background then I did not hear from the person who would schedule the in person interview with the Sales Director for a month. I thought the outcome was negative but I found out that the she went on a vacation:) anyways then there is the Sales Director who seemed a little off while interviewing me. He was literally sick and sneezing and just asking questions from the paper in front of him

Entretien

I was contacted by a recruitment agency via email, and we scheduled a 30 minute pre-screening call. Once I passed that, the company itself wanted to have another 30 minute call, which we held a few days later. Neither of the two calls had technical questions or puzzles to solve, the main purpose of both was just getting to know each other and what technologies I'm familiar with.

For the main interview I was invited to the company's offices in Brno, where I was given a desk and four coding challenges. I was told to solve only the 2-3 that I'm most comfortable with, and I ended up solving two of them after around four hours of work. My solutions were reviewed by a few people and they've told me they want to hire me later that day.

They invited me and two more people for an interview, but it was not a focus group but a series of individual interviews, while one was interviewed the other waited.
We were informed about the results of the interview within two days.

Entretien

Friendly, easy going HR team. Nothing cold or too corporate. The calls took place at normal hours over Skype. A lot of the time was spent talking about Brno (where the company is located at) and Czech Republic in general. Since not a lot of people consider relocating to Czech Republic due to low wages in comparison to UK or Ireland for example, there is an added bonus of having no axe hanging over your head.

The recruitment process comprised two interviews, which went very smoothly. The interviewers were both very nice and were always smilling which helped to relieve the tension.

It was slightly checking on my language levels necessary for this job, my ability to solve problems under pressure and specific time urgency and basic small talk / chit-chat to get to know me little bit more before entering the company and also multiple questions regarding my studies, job experiences and also generally my past life.
