Applied online and was called in for an interview within a week. The interview was VERY straightforward. There was no needless roleplaying, cliched questioning, or tricks. It was just an explanation of the position/company and maybe 10 questions regarding my ability to do the job. The entire interview took about 35 minutes.
The company SEEMS (i'm cynical) to offer some very competitive benefits (lots of sick time on day one, company car, 401k contributions even if you elect not to contribute your own funds).
It was 20 days from interview to offer, and I made two separate follow-up calls at 5 days and 17 days after interview. Unexpectedly (the 2nd follow-up call felt like it went poorly), I was offered the position and have since been inundated with pre-employment paperwork.
My start date was placed exactly 2 weeks from the offer date and will require me to travel to training (about 2 hours away).

Applied online, received an email from a recruiter to do phone interview. Shortly after (week or less) received call from site manager to schedule in person interview. Interview consisted of description of position, tour of lab, typing test, and basic interview questions. Really laid back conversation type interview.

Had phone interview with HR the week after I applied online through their website. I was asked why I left my last job, describe a good work ethic, if I had a good driving record. She was very personable and said the top candidates would be referred to the hiring manager the next day. The next day I got a call from the hiring manager for an interview the following day or day after. The interview lasted about an hour, he had a sheet of questions and wrote down my responses.

It was basically a phone interview because all I wanted was a transfer. The interviewer was very interested in my experience and reliability. I was very confident because I have worked for the company for so long. After a couple of weeks the original job I was applying for did not pan out but another one became available. I took that one and I am very happy with my decision.
