Although the role seemed somewhat junior compared to my previous experience, I took the interview with interest in the company’s mission and a willingness to contribute strategically during a time of change. During our conversation, I was able to speak directly about my relevant experience in healthcare, content strategy, and regulated industries. I was also asked to submit a portfolio showcasing related work, including healthcare campaigns and member engagement content.
A few days later, I was informed that I would not be advancing due to a lack of “recent and relevant healthcare experience.” However, this feedback seemed inconsistent with the discussion we had and the materials provided, which included direct examples of healthcare-focused work.
