    Terrible. It took 3 times for the recruiter to actually call for my first interview. I was stood up twice by the same recruiter and had to reapply each time with zero communication for why she didn’t call during the scheduled time.

    Then, during the in person interviews with multiple managers, the 3rd manager was 25 minutes late during back to backs. I ended up getting a bit tired but no coffee was offered while I was waiting. My 4th interview after late Manager ended was the interview that I lost the job and didn’t get an offer. After an hour and 50 minutes and 25 minutes of waiting with no coffee, my brain just didn’t process his technology questions quick enough and so I didn’t get the job. I believe if all the managers were on time, I would’ve gotten the job. Terrible experience

    Typical first round screening by HR - followed by a call with the hiring manager then a "rapid panel" discussion that was very well orchestrated and scheduled with 3 team members in the same day - yet no clear conversation or dialogue around what would transpire after that.

    • After 2 good calls with sales team members, the process led to a call with a "peer" and "technical" team member - neither of which displayed a lack of experience interviewing.

      The "peer" talked mostly about himself and the great work he did - while the "techie" was new in his leader role and wanted to talk about how as a sales member I would interact with SE's etc.

      In summary heard great things about this unit of Cisco but not sure they are on the right track.

    I applied thtough Facebook. And the gentleman that replied set an interview 20 minutes away from the current time. With no other correspondence in between. I didnt see the notification for the interview until 8:55, 5 minutes away from the interview time. I asked the gentleman how he expects me to make it to the other side of town for an interview with 0 time to prepare, and the location is over 20 minutes away from my house. Very unprofessional.

    Recruiter reached out through LinkedIn. Recruiter asked basic technical questions about DHCP, VLAN, DORA process. STP.

    Following this was technical interview over webex video

    This was purely situational based to check on networking knowledge.

    Network diagram was made on the board with router on
    stick config and fw after the router and internet.

    Question were then to troubleshoot from client that can not access internet.

    Answer:
    Check DHCP; client has APIPA(169.x.x.x)
    Ask where DHCP is co figured.
    Check dhcp scope and range config
    Client switchport and dhcp server in different subnet.
    Check router config and see if Vlans are configured.
    Check if vlan has routing enabled.
    Check if sub-interface is configured with dot1q enabled to make sure vlans can talk to each other
     Check if the interface has relay agent configured.
    Now client has IP address but no internet

    Check routing information between router, firewall and internet.
    Static routes were missing on both router and firewall for default gateway.
    Return routes were missing for both vlans

    This was an hour interview but was able to figure out all the issues in 45 Mins

    Interviewer has no more questions.

    Next round:
    Home activity to login to meraki dashboard and complete exercise. You get 2 days to complete.

    This was simple task but my mistake was to confirm with recruiter the intention of this task and recruiter sent me wrong questioner first time and then sent me correct one.

    You were supposed to create SSID and configure with wpa2 shared key and bonus point to download the audit logs. You are asked to document positive negative experience?

    What positive, negative experience can you get from this?
    When you ask to configure something, you simple configure it, what’s there to document?

    My assumption was that they wanted us to figured where the configuration was so I took the screenshots and audit logs and submitted.

    2 days later I got rejection template email.

    This was big surprise to me as I had completed everything they asked for.

    Recruiter was very prompt responding back as long I was considered for interview. Minute they sent rejection email, recruiter stopped responding.

    Not responding to candidate after the interview was very negative experience in my case. Silicon Valley is really small and you circle back to candidates very often, this was my 3rd time someone from Meraki reached out to me.

    1st time- I rejected their offer as it was less comp than my current salary
    2nd time- I asked recruiter upfront but I was making higher than their position range so recruiter was upfront which is good.
    3rd time- recruiter mentioned my current comp is here but they will make exception for right candidate.

    Suggestion to recruiter: maybe sometime candidate doesn’t understand the importance of exercise. It’s your responsibility to explain candidate why is this activity needed. Communication is very important, even if you’re not going to hire the candidate.

    Applied online on Meraki website. Received an invitation for a phone screen with a recruiter. Scheduled a phone screen interview after 2 days. Received an email same day saying they have hired someone for the position.

    I had a really pleasant experience interviewing at Meraki for the most part. The hiring manager was great and a big part of the reason why the role appealed to me. I also met with some good people during the interviews, I heard really positive feedback from everyone I spoke with. After interviews recruiter went ghost on me for several weeks, not the end of the world though I understand things get busy.

    It took several e-mails and weeks for a response, ultimately I found out the team didn't want to move forward, I honestly think that they didn't think I had a strong interest in relocating for the role which may have cause them to not make an offer, as this was mentioned when I spoke with one of the senior members. It was a good experience I just wish communication was a little better. In the time it took for them to get back to me I received 4 other offers and happily moved forward with a very strong offer for a great company

    1st interview is pretty straightforward. 2nd interview is more difficult as it goes into troubleshooting and not individual "what is this".

    Overall neutral experience. After talking to hiring manager, I outlined specific areas that I did not touch. However, I was surprised to hear troubleshooting scenarios in these areas from next interviewer. To me that means that there was a disconnect between hiring manager and next interviewer. Suggestion: share additional information about candidates and not just resumes between interviewers.

    one initial round and next troubleshooting round. First round is very easy. For Second round you should have CCNA level of knowledge. Switch port security, dhcp, rogue dns and other general concepts.
