Présentation, Q/R, test de personnalité, motivations pour le poste, synthèse/exposé à présenter. L'entretien s'est fait en deux étapes. D'abord avec le responsable des Ressources Humaines et le Directeur, puis le responsable opérationnel et son adjoint. Personnes très professionnelles, mais responsable des RH arrogant. La durée de chaque entretien a été d'environ 1h. J'ai eu un retour quelques jours après mon second entretien.

    I’ll start by saying in the interest of full disclosure that I didn’t get the offer. I’m genuinely not writing this review because of that but because of how hilariously bad the process was.

    First off, they approached me for this role, not the other way around. I told them I’d be amenable to talking to the team to get a sense for the role. Before I even spoke with anyone (outside of HR), I found out through a friend in the industry that the person who would have been my boss was already telling people that I was interviewing with him. Had never spoken to him. My employer doesn’t know I’m interviewing, and the industry is small. Not a great start and potentially dangerous to my current employment.

    Went through the process - it was fairly normal, although I didn’t love the fact that HR would simultaneously email and call me and leave a VM. A few weeks into the process, I hear from another industry friend (who I barely know) that they had ALSO heard that I was interviewing with them, this time from a different member of the team. That’s two people within a few weeks. I have no idea how many people they told but it struck me as highly unprofessional and again, potentially a danger to my current employment. Neither of these people were my references, nor did I say it was okay to reach out to any references.

    I was then rejected which again is what it is - only to have HR then email me asking if I knew anyone I could refer to a different role they’re recruiting for. Unbelievable.

    First interview with hiring manager went very well. Second interview with HR wasn't really an interview. More like a 5 min conversation with very basic questions. HR person told me they had very positive feedback from the 1st interview and would like me to come in to meet the team. She emailed me saying they would contact me "shortly" to schedule it and I never heard from them again. I followed up with the HR person and still got no replies. Then followed up with the hiring manager and learned that they were finalizing the process with another candidate. Very disrespectful, especially for such a well-known organization, to treat candidates like that. Wouldn't recommend.

    I was at another bulge bracket bank (not as good as MS), on a structuring desk, and wanted out. Knew a friend on the Distressed Debt desk and they were hiring a desk analyst at the Associate level.

    Got put in touch with the desk head and went for a face to face interview.

    Typical walk me through your resume and then pitch me a trade idea. I'd prepared a model and one-pager on a HY name, and after the pitch, was then asked to provide another impromptu idea (to see if I was following the markets, and to give me another chance since my prepared pitch must not have been very compelling).

    He thanked me for my time. We both knew it wasn't going to happen, but I still sent the de rigueur thank you email.

    All in it was very quick. I was given a chance. A better experience than most - no one's time was wasted, and they were professional/polite.

    Applied on campus. The first round had 3 30min interviews with three interviewers, 2 ED, 1 VP. The first ED interviewer named Anthony Jung was extremely mean. Basically right after I entered the room, he asked me why they should hire me, what value can I add, what my GPA is, and then started to ask me if I have any questions. Along the way I asked him questions, he's extremely impatient and uses very rude languages. Worst interviewer I've seen in the workplace. I know this Morgan Stanley, but after 10 mins I know I don't want to work with this AH.
