Entretien

Took place in-person at the Chicago office. The interview took two hours. The first hour was pretty straightforward - asked about my background, why I want the job and then got into the standard behavioral questions. The second hour was spent informally meeting with other members of the team. Great experience!

    I applied online after seeing the job description on indeed.com. A manager texted me a few weeks later and we schedule an interview. The interview was over the phone and pretty basic for internships. He told me about his position, what my position would be, and he asked me a few questions. I got back with a response 2 weeks later!

    I applied online and received a call from HR recruiter within hours of submittal. The recruiter was calling on behalf of the hiring manager who wanted to schedule a phone interview ASAP. The recruiter was very enthusiastic and quick to respond, thorough in providing details of the job and expectations (noted that MSI was moving to downtown Chicago and the position would be based there). The phone interview w/the hiring manager was less than impressive; first, he didn't have a copy of my resume so it's doubtful he knew anything about my background or why he was talking to me. Secondly, his description of the job had a completely different emphasis than what the recruiter described which is also what was published online. The interview was short, not productive and ended with the hiring manager just saying: "Okay, well, let's stay in touch..." I was skeptical about MSI prior to be called and the experience told me that that skepticism was borne out in the process. MSI is no longer the company it was. It's a shell that's focused on EBITDA and nothing more.

    The interview process was pretty ordinary. First, a phone interview and then an in-person interview. In-person interview was interviewing with 4 different people, one person at a time. I interviewed with my manager, my manager's manager, one HR person, and another team member.

    • It was pretty general and there was no particularly difficult questions. They like to know what kind of person you are, what your previous experiences are and what kind of plans/ambitions you have, and how you can contribute to the company. It was very conversational and behavioral-based questions. They also asked me some examples of how I overcame a challenge, and how I handled a conflict with other team members.   Répondre à cette question
