J'ai postulé via la recommandation d'un employé. Le processus a pris 4 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Multiverse (Denver, CO) en juil. 2022
There were 4 stages in this interview process: an initial interview with the hiring manager, then a working session with two senior members of the team where a project was presented, followed by a stakeholder interview with a leader for another business vertical, and then a final interview with a co-founder of the company. Each stage was informational and left me feeling like I knew more about the company and the team as well as the individual expectations for the role. The working session in particular was enjoyable and gave me a chance to really envision myself in the role and understand the priorities of the team. Multiverse did a fantastic job of communicating with me in between each stage, reaching out at regular intervals to make sure I knew I was still in consideration even when they didn't have a firm update yet. I was so thankful for this clear and consistent communicaiton!
- They asked about my experience and previous success/metrics as well as situational questions to determine how I would handle various interactions if I were in the role. We also discussed values and what tied me to the mission at Multiverse.

Unprofessional. The recruiter was unprepared and did not provide basic information like benefits, location - hybrid/remote options etc. It sounded like he did not want to make the effort to do this interview. After a couple of mundane questions, he admitted there was a preferred candidate for the role. This shows a solid disregard for other people's time and is disrespectful, to say the least. Candidates beware!
- Tell me about yourself and your marketing experience

The interview process had many steps, with lots of feedback given along the way. While an intense process overall, it was ultimately very helpful to get input on ways to improve for the next round interview.
- Tell us what makes you special?

Lengthy interview process with 30 minute phone screen and several 60 minute interviews with roleplay scenarios where you are expected to listen to feedback and redo the roleplay by responding to the feedback given by the interviewer. The interviewers came across as incredibly smug and condescending. The process is incredibly impersonal, and Multiverse seemed to care little about myself as a person. I was asked to provide feedback to the interviewer and told him that I felt that the process was cold and made Multiverse look uninviting. He told me that they are not allowed to be welcoming in the interview process as it could allow the introduction of bias. If you are unable to be a friendly person and an objective interviewer, then maybe you shouldn’t be interviewing potential candidates. While Multiverse is proud of their inviting and inclusive culture, they surely don’t come across as either of those things in the interview process. Side note when interviewing: Make sure you say apprentices and not students. My interviewer rudely corrected me when I made this mistake.
- Why Multiverse? How would you handle an apprentice that wants to quit? How do you handle an apprentice that doesn’t feel valued at their workplace?

Multiverse reached out to me on LinkedIn. We had a positive first interview, and I was told that the next step would be for someone to review my portfolio. I found this a bit strange, surely this should have been done before the initial interview to avoid wasting the time of both parties? I saw the next day that the portfolio reviewer looked at my LinkedIn, so I assumed a decision must have been made then. Unfortunately Multiverse did not reach out with the outcome, I enquired two weeks later and got a rushed response saying that it was an unfortunate no. I just found the whole process very unprofessional. When you know the outcome, just let the applicant know. Also scan the designers portfolio beforehand, it takes five minutes maximum.
- General questions about Multiverse and design.

Thorough, lots of info given, quick response time, good rapport built. They clearly know what they are doing and how to get the best talent though. The interview was very fair and the application form was challenging but not unnecessary.
- Focussed on sales targets and achievements in previous roles.

Interesting interview - very unconventional. Follows the ICCE criteria - this includes intelligence, character, coachability and experience. 4 stages - informal, formal with RD, formal with VP, formal with P
- What does intelligence mean to you?

Challenging interview process, however great support is offered. On top of that, the total journey is relatively lean and for each stage, it is clear what the expectations are. Overall a positive experience and gained some learnings from it.
- What makes you special/ what have you done that most people haven’t.

J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 3 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Multiverse (Londres, Angleterre) en janv. 2023
I was contacted by the company's tech recruiter - Chelsea, and I liked the mission the company has and decided to proceeded with the interviews, which were 4 stages. All of the people interviewing me were understanding and very nice and I got feedback no later than the next day. The recruiter would contact me if there was any delay whatsoever and also take any feedback from me to make the process as smooth as possible.
- There were a couple of Leetcode type questions and a take home task, which were not the most difficult, but not the easiest either so it's a nice balance for the teams to see how you think. Multiverse also values your non-technical skills so a big portion of the questions were related to that as well.

Video screening, Assessment Centre, 2 remote interviews. Strangely enough they’re not looking for Customer Success experience. Very sad as they could be missing out on great people who are legitimately interested in the role as well as the company itself!
- Why Multiverse, What makes you special, Give me a time you’ve received positive/negative feedback.

Initial conversations with internal recruiter over the course of several weeks provided guidance ahead of an incredibly unusual interview. Interview revolved around 4 characteristics, their definitions and their relevance to the candidate. - Intelligence - Character - Coachability - Experience Interviewer seemed inexperienced and unprepared creating a chaotic environment that at first seemed intentional to test adaptability but in hindsight was more than likely the symptom of a lack of experience.
- What were your GCSE Results?
- Why is academic performance an indicator of success for this role?
- How would you define EQ?
- Give me an example of how you've demonstrated high EQ outside of work.
