Candidature

J'ai postulé en ligne. J'ai passé un entretien à Native Instruments (Los Angeles, CA (États-Unis)) en avril 2017.

Entretien

A take-home coding challenge, followed by a 1-hour technical interview over Skype, followed by a 2-hour non-technical interview call with the team, followed by a half-day on-site interview at their office which mostly consisted of me talking about my interest in the company / field and asking questions. I should noted that I was fortunate to have a fast turnaround time of one day to one week on each stage of the interview process this time around. When interviewing with Native Instruments in the past, I've had anywhere from 1-6 months of silence without follow-up on their end between interview stages and as a result, I had already found a different job by the time they got back to me with the next steps.

Questions d'entretien d'embauche

  • Take-home assignment:
A somewhat poorly / intimidatingly worded 'story' problem that contained some low-level audio programming concepts / digital signal processing jargon but was effectively only asking you to implement a function stub to perform a simple traversal of a linked list and then return a true/false result.   1 réponse
  • Skype interview/in-person interview questions:
    1. Asked me about my experience/interests in music and the company/position
    2. Asked me about my relevant work experience and technical skills
    3. Asked me a few pop quiz coding questions about elementary fundamental language concepts/best practices
    4. Asked me to write some nominal code to traverse a one or 2D array and change the value of some elements if conditions are met.   1 réponse

I applied online some time ago. They sent a C++ test. I did it properly, well tested, didn't get an answer from them.

    Entretien

At first I received a small and easy coding homework. After that I got an email asking for interview date proposals. I sent my available dates around 8 hours later and didn't hear back anymore.

I wrote one additional unanswered email and called twice. During the first call I was told that the person would look into it and come back to me asap, which never happened. By the second call I got actually connected with the person who asked for interview dates. My application "had gotten lost somehow" and the job position had been filled in the mean time. I might get contacted in the future for jobs.

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 6 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien à Native Instruments (Berlin (Allemagne)) en avril 2016.

    Entretien

I applied to an online position, and about a week later received a task to implement. A couple weeks later a recruiter got in touch with me and explained what the next steps would be, and made sure the interviews were scheduled according to my availability. There were 3 technical interviews with different people and the recruiter, and they felt more like chats about technology than interviews per say, which was good in my opinion. A week later they made me an offer.
The whole process was very transparent, and went without any problems.
