    Entretien de Community Manager/Customer Support

    Candidat à l'entretien anonyme - Berlin (Allemagne)
    Aucune offre d'embauche
    Expérience positive
    Difficulté moyenne

    Candidature

    Entretien

The interview process for me consisted of two rounds — a 1 on 1 interview with the head of the department, and a follow up interview with the rest of the team.

The team was very gracious and the process was comfortable.

    Expérience négative

    Candidature

    Entretien

Very impersonal and automated online approach. No feedback or any form of human reaction despite multiple follow-up attempts. The content of the automated rejection did not match with the vacancy still being available online months later. I believe NI leaves open some opportunities for building a good and respectful company image and I do not feel tempted to proceed with future applications at this company.

    Entretien

After interviewing with the company, I quickly sent a thank you email but never heard back. After another catch-up email a week later I didn't hear back from them again for over two months. I never received a formal rejection and only found out that I was not going to get the job because my friend told me they had been hired.

As first contact with HR about general requirements, my very own working situation and personal interest in the job. In a second conference call the department head was involved, asked more job related questions and gives deeper information about the job itself. The third contact was a meeting at the HQ in Berlin. I was shown the working conditions and meet potential colleagues.

    Entretien de Software Developer

    Candidature

    Entretien

I applied to an online position, and about a week later received a task to implement. A couple weeks later a recruiter got in touch with me and explained what the next steps would be, and made sure the interviews were scheduled according to my availability. There were 3 technical interviews with different people and the recruiter, and they felt more like chats about technology than interviews per say, which was good in my opinion. A week later they made me an offer.
The whole process was very transparent, and went without any problems.

After applying i got an invitation for a telephone interview with the human resource and mechanical engineering department. The interview took around 45-60min. Two weeks later Native Instruments called me for a verbal agreement. For a first check i got the employment contract via email. A few days before my job started i was invited to sign the contract and clarify organizational things. In addition to that i had a meeting with my chief to talk about the exact content and termination of my work.

    Entretien de Systems Administrator

    Employé anonyme - Berlin (Allemagne)
    Offre acceptée
    Expérience positive
    Entretien facile

    Candidature

    Entretien

The process started with a phone call between me and the recruiter, in order to get in touch and get informed, how the further process works.
This was more than helpful for me to understand, how long everything will take and what I will have to expect. From the very beginning everything was welcoming and I always had the feeling that the recruiter was really interested in me as a person.
After this first step, there was a skype interview with a recruiter and the head of IT. The interview was intended as a first talk about the tasks I did, which technologies NI uses and why I wanted to move to Berlin to work for Native Instruments. Again the experience was more than positive and I always had the feeling of my opposites to be really interested in me as a person and my skills. Even when I told I didn't have some of the skills, which were demanded for the position, the feedback wasn't negative but positive: "So there is some new interesting tasks you could work into".
After that skype interview I got invited to the Berlin office, where I could meet the head of IT and the team I would work for and was shown around the office. We talked more in depth about my skills and how things work at NI and what technologies I used in the past and what NI uses to run their business.
A week passed after that interview and sad-fully I didn't get a offer at first - however I was told that they still find my profile interesting and would like to keep me in their talent pool and consider to contact me some time in future.
It didn't take longer than 2 months I was contacted again and offered the possibility to talk to potential future colleagues to discuss my skill set. Again it was a very pleasant interview and the other system administrators I talked to were sympathetic from the beginning of our talk.
Finally it worked and I got a offer.
To sum it up I can say that I didn't find such a good working HR ever before and I really felt good all throughout the process.

    Entretien de Devops Engineer

    Employé anonyme - Berlin (Allemagne)
    Offre acceptée
    Expérience positive
    Difficulté moyenne

    Candidature

    Entretien

The interview went in four stages. First I've got a call from a recruiting specialist and we've had a basic talk regarding my skills and expectations. I've got some details about company, position and a team.
Next step was a technical interview where I've been meeting team lead and one of the lead engineers. During this step we've had a deep technical discussion. I've been asked a lot of questions regarding my qualifications. Aside of technical part we've had a nice discussion regarding handling different situations on operations side and development methodologies. In the end I've got a chance to ask questions and get more details about the project and the way team works from the technical side.
As a third step I've been asked to complete a small test task. I've been given about one week to complete it and I believe this task had a great balance between touching different areas of my technical skills and not consuming too much time.
As a last step I've been again invited to the company office where I've had a chance to meet most of the team members. We had a chance to ask different technical and non-technical questions to each other. This interview lasted for almost two hours but it didn't feel like a long one. I really enjoyed a format and everyone was open and friendly.
One more thing I want to admit is the work of recruiters. After each step I was getting a detailed feedback and all needed information about possible next steps.

    Entretien de QA Hardware Engineer

    Employé anonyme - Berlin (Allemagne)
    Offre acceptée
    Expérience positive
    Difficulté moyenne

    Candidature

    Entretien

    The interview process consisted in:
    1. Preliminary technical assessment via email - questionnaire about testing and QA with specific focus on the context of embedded hardware
    2. 1st Skype interview - general discussion about my previous working experience, and presentation of the position I applied for
    3. 2nd Skype interview - technical questions, first contact with colleagues
    4. Final interview - meet the team, more technical questions

The process took 3 months, quite long compared to the other interviews I had in the past, but probably it was also due to the fact that at the time I was living/working in Canada and they knew that my availability was not immediate.

The entire recruitment process was conducted in a very transparent way, they replied to all my questions with great precision, they regularly followed up and gave me information about the steps of the recruiting process
