    I sent in a resume and got called to schedule an interview. We had the interview and a month later I still had no feedback. I called and let them know I was under consideration for other jobs--I still heard nothing. It's been weeks since I accepted one of the other offers I got, yet I still haven't heard from Nextiva. Screw them.

    The interview was great. I file an online app and they called me the same day. I met with senior leadership and we quickly saw the value in each other.

    The questions were precise and directly implied to how you would handle difficult situations with clients, agents, and other management. They also questioned how you would handle yourself if you didn't agree with a process. It was very professional and open and they allowed for any questions that were not leading into privvy information post-hire. Even if you are not selected for the role, they do let you know how well you did and what their determining factors were. They also allow for an open-door policy if you find follow-up questions.

    Started with an online application. Spoke with recruiter.
    Recruiter was kind of hard to get a hold of. Finally linked up after 2 weeks from first contact.
    Recruiter setup call with hiring manager and another manager from a close department.
    Recruiter set up a call with the CIO which went great.
    After waiting about 1.5 months was told a new Director had been hired and they were waiting to hire until they were settled in.
    Another 3-4 weeks and was told new Director was holding off on hiring to evaluate the head count.

    Another instance where the process was long and drawn out.
    All people interacted with were professional and feedback was well received.

    A recruiter reached out to me and we set up a phone interview. Then I had a one-on-one interview with the Creative Director and a phone interview the next day with the Marketing Chief. By the fourth business day they had an answer for me. Everyone I talked to was extremely nice. They asked great questions about me and my experience.

    Very friendly, intelligent and useful. My interviewer didn’t waste time on some of the silly and useless typical questions that so many bad interviewers do. I was asked some very interesting questions that not only helped them get to know me, but helped me get to know them.

    Interview went well but I was a bit under qualified for the engineering position. Surprisingly, I got a call the next day by the recruiter and given an offer!

    Naturally, I tried to negotiate the salary because they were offering lower than the market average and lower than my current salary. It sounded like they couldn't budge so I respectfully declined the offer via email later that day.

    Then I got a call from the recruiting manager a few days later stating that they would be unable to increase the salary because I was actually being offered an admin position, not the engineering position. This was strange but I was open to learning more.

    I mentioned my same salary concerns so they reluctantly bumped it by a small percentage. I immediately felt the pressure to accept the offer on a position I never applied or interviewed for. I said I would think about it and I asked for additional info about this new role but the recruiting manager did not deliver.

    The day after learning about the new admin position I was sent a rejected message by a higher-up Executive who didn't like that I hadn't immediately accepted the offer. Unfortunately, I don't believe he was aware of the switch in titles which was partially the reason for my hesitation.

    The recruiting team seemed very disorganized and surprised that someone would try to negotiate the salary. There was a "bait-and-switch" vibe along with high pressure sales tactics that I really didn't appreciate when deciding if a pay-cut made sense for my career goals.

    I was almost ready to accept the offer but became frustrated that my questions about the new position were not answered and my concerns landed on deaf ears.

    Received call from a Nextiva recruiter after submitting a resume online. Had good conversation that pointed me and the recruiter to a higher ranking, more appropriate position within Nextiva. Recruiter said he'd pass along my info to another recruiter who owned the other posting and that person would contact me. After a few weeks this other recruiter sent me a casual email asking me to "call me sometime" to discuss. He also sent invite to his calendar to schedule a call. I scheduled a call. The scheduled interview day and time came and went without hearing from the recruiter. Very uncool...
    I get the impression that some at Nextiva sort of think their company is so cool that you should chase them for an interview. Not very professional but have seen this attitude at a few other newer .com companies. I think it's what happens when millennials take over HR and recruiting.
    Advice: Company leaders should be watchful of who's controlling the front door. Too often, some very good, high potential recruits aren't getting past the bouncers...

    Me being kind of old-school, I refuse to chase a company recruiter for a position that I am well qualified for. My loss I suppose.

    It's a shame because it does seem like a great place to work!
