The first phone interview with the internal recruiter was very positive, a friendly guy who knew what he was talking about and asked good questions. Thumbs up for that!
The second stage was then a video call with the Head of HR who this role would report into. I wrongly assumed that this must be a 1h interview as after 25min I was told that we’re soon out of time. The questions didn’t go much into my experience and I was interrupted due to the fact that an important email came in that she had to answer quickly. After the 30min I then got a summary of what concerns she had in terms of my CV but that she would like to move on with my application if I still was keen. Somehow I still wasn’t too surprised when I was told 1.5 weeks later that they didn’t include me in the next round (without giving any reasons).
Going forward you would better wait with giving feedback to your candidates until you have actually made your mind up...
To finish with a positive note, the internal recruiter communicated regularly and tried to ease the situation as much as he could which I appreciate.
