Long but incredibly enriching hiring process. Shows that Shipup really cares about its company culture and encourages employees' career growth. Lasted around 1 month in total. The process involved 5 main stages: - a first call with HR to discuss previous experience - a case study to do complete at home (around 5 days) - a technical interview to debrief the case study and test knowledge - a motivational interview more focused on interest in the job/ industry and how candidates would navigate workplace relationships - a culture fit to meet future colleagues from different department in person to ensure that we share the same values and vision for the company. I particularly appreciated: - the thorough feedback received all throughout the process from Angélique - the promptness of the responses for the different stages, never exceeded 2 working days and shows that they respect candidates - flexibility with regards to the case study, with an emphasis on the quality of the work rather than finishing it within a very specific timeframe - having the opportunity to meet a variety of future colleagues before accepting the offer, as the people you work with really are important to the job The only slight criticism I would have is that the description of what the next stages could have been clearer to allow candidates to better prepare for them. That said, this was perhaps intentional on their part, and Angélique is always free to answer any questions you may have.

I very much appreciated my interview process with Shipup. All the persons whom I met during the interview process (Chief of staff, CEO, Finance Manager) were extremely professional, engaging and reactive. They asked thoughtful questions and provided useful information about the company, their current challenges and expectations. They also made sure to answer all my questions about Shipup and about the position. At the end of the process, I received a complete feedback which I found very helpful. In terms of duration, the process took a few weeks, mainly because of the holidays and agenda conflicts, however, I mentioned from the beginning, that I was not in a hurry myself, and the follow-up was very quick after each step. Overall, the candidate experience was caring and very positive.

Processus de recrutement très humain et dans des délais qui montrent le respect que l'entreprise accorde aux candidats. Le processus est composé d'entretiens nécessaires, pas de surplus. La bienveillance est au coeur des entretiens ce qui met dans d'excellentes conditions.

It was described as 3 parts: about the company/position, the interviewer asking me questions, and then me asking him questions about the company/position. It was fairly typical, he was late for the meeting.
- It was a 3 part process but he only left 5 minutes for me to answer questions. I asked him to provide examples of how the company values are represented in day-today work experiences and he was unable to answer.

Initial application process and coordination were clear to get on a screening call. That was all that was good about it. However, during the first screening, no questions pertaining to the industry/market that Shipup is servicing in were asked - eCommerce and logistics. I was asked standard B2B marketing-related questions such as conducting marketing audits and how I'd frame Shipup to an ICP. So to be receiving an email rejecting my candidature for the role with the reason of not having enough experience in eCommerce and logistics was strange. Not once was I asked about my thoughts on eCommerce or my experience in post-purchase - which I did bring up in the interview. I did mention that I needed visa sponsorship for France and interviewer immediately stopped me and said this interview process cannot move forward if I was expecting a visa sponsorship for Germany - outright dismissive, didn't care to hear what I said. If the company did not wish to sponsor visas, they should not have advertised that in the JD and could have just saved me my 40mins by disqualifying me earlier.

Premier entretien RH 30 min Test technique à faire en autonomie Test technique en live (1 h sur du backend, 1 h sur de l'algorithmique) Entretien Lead de fit 1 h. Les équipes sont très sympathique et fair. La communication avec le recruteur était aussi très transparente et clair, bonnes explication du processus et des différents entretiens, ce qui permet d'appréhender les entretiens le plus sereinement possible et de ne pas se faire surprendre.

Very positive experience interviewing at Shipup. The expectations were clear throughout the process and talent acquisition was highly responsive and happy to answer any clarifying questions I had to best help me prepare for each interview. The final stage "culture fit" was a nice way to get to know the team on a more personal level without the usual pressures of an interview.

5 stages of interview, 2 of them technical. Overall smooth and easy, communicative and collaborative interviews. First interview is just an overview, second gives you a at home coding task. its a bit difficult to complete on time, but the prompt itself is easy. third step is technical round, 1 hour api writing and 1 hour algorithm solving. both of the interviewers were helpful. 4th is a detailed dive into your career with the tech manager. 5th is just conversation, culture fit.
- Asked to write endpoints for a given database with any language/framework. endpoints include simple get all, get one, some joins between tables etc
