    Interviewed for the Data and Analytics Academy program. I got coffee with a recruiter, then had a phone interview with the program hiring manager that was mostly just going over my work history. I then had a technical phone interview with a current employee which again mostly went over my work history, what I did for projects, why I chose a specific type of model. I then went in for a round of interviews with 4 current employees who had a range of roles in the company. They really want people who are extremely positive and smiley. While I consistently got back positive comments about my prospects of getting hired (pretty much everyone said I would be a good fit there, one person even said they would be surprised if I didn't get hired), I ended up not getting an offer, which I think was due to the fact that I'm a bit reserved and not overly smiley. Also there would have been one more round of interviews, I think involving personality tests, if I had gone on to the final round.

    Overall a positive experience, I just felt a bit led on.

    Very smooth process! Took ~4 weeks from the beginning to the end. Mix of phone calls with very helpful and transparent hiring manager and video interview with Practice Area Lead. Onsite interview was very smooth and helpful

    Met with recruiter via phone invited in for interview. Met with two people one was behavioral typical behavior questions tell me about a time blah blah blah. Next a skill interview diving more into your skill set. Have you done abc. Overall the interview seemed pretty good but the Interviewers seemed pretty inexperienced with the whole canned questions not even looking at your resume and repetitive questioning and based off their background it was slight in consulting. Nonetheless the person insinuated they could use me and my skills but the recruiter never followed back up so I reached out again we finally connected she claimed my skills could be utilized in another area that they are not trying to build out at this time. In other words no job extension and they wanted to keep my resume on file. I doubt I would work with a company that dropped the ball a few times during the interview process and people that barely have industry experience making a judgement. The interview seemed good but the Interviewer kept looking at their watch as if they did not want to be there. Funny I saw them pull up after I got there when I made it to my car after the interview they were leaving. They did mention they were going to have a pretty good weekend so I guess they had to bail out quick. What I disliked is that they waited two weeks due to the recruiter not following up when they said just to tell me no. We could have had a quick call or email to tell me the outcome. Anywho best wishes in building out their practice.

    The interview process was smooth, efficient, and transparent from the start. There were five rounds of interviews over a period of about a month.

    First, I met with the recruiter for an informal pre-screening at a local coffee shop. From there I had two behavioral interviews (on different days) with a Solution Principle and Practice Area Lead. The behavioral interviews are conversation-based, and Slalom clearly works to make them feel informal rather than forced, which is nice. Next was a case interview, which I had 1 week to prepare. The case was presented to five members of the Slalom team, including the 3 members of the team that I had already met with. It was the most structured part of the interview process, but again, the expectations are laid out for you prior to the case. Finally, I had an interview with a Managing Director in the office. I heard back from Slalom with an offer a few weeks later.

    • Most of the questions were really just about my experience. They do a great job of giving you clarity as to who you will speak to and what the point of the conversation will be. I always felt informed and prepared. Most of the time I felt the people side of the interviews were the most important. The people focus at Slalom seems to be extremely strong. I only declined due to my current commute needs. If I lived closer I would work for Slalom in a heartbeat.   Répondre à cette question

    The interview process at Slalom was rather lengthy but enjoyable. A large part of the reason it takes longer is due to the fact that they place a premium on hiring the right talent. Personally, I really enjoyed each step of the process and found the interviews to be very conversational. Everyone I interacted with was super friendly and professional - I felt really supported. They frequently asked me what I needed throughout the process, which I appreciated. I felt that they really cared about my experience going through the process and there was a lot of transparency every step of the way. Out of all the job interviews I've sat through in my ~8-year career, theirs were the most enjoyable.

    I met with the recruiter to learn more about Slalom and discuss my experience. She was late 10 - 15 minutes. No emails or anything. We chatted for an hour. It was a good conversation. Nothing out of the ordinary. Got to learn more about Slalom, the office and work they did. I was honestly excited about the opportunity. She was enthuastic and was going to talk to her leadership the following week as they were expecting to have a few open spots in the upcoming month. She urged me to follow up with her if she doesn't email me and that's what I did. I followed up the following week and no response. I again emailed her the next week and no response. I was pretty annoyed at this point. Recruiters tend to think they're better than their potential candidates but reality check, they're not. When someone takes time out of their day to meet with you, either respect it or don't bother meeting with them. Ghosting a candidate, even if you're not going to proceed with them is probably the worst thing anyone can do. Especially if you met the candidate face to face. This left a sour taste in my mouth and I probably will not apply to Slalom in the future and guess what, I'm okay with that because they just lost a great candidate.

    Recruiter contacted me via LinkedIn. Phone screen went well with the recruiter. Had another phone screen with the legal team. I had an in person coffee with the hiring manager and asked about start dates. The recruiter follows up and tells me that they decided to go with an internal male candidate who has not experience in the privacy field in to the female industry expert they were interviewing (myself). I really am glad I don't work at place with such clear gender bias issues.

    Applied on their website, few days later got an email to set up a 30 min initial phone interview with a recruiter. He then set up an in person interview with the tech lead for the next week. In person interview was one on one informal talking about my history, my career interest the company and the job. few days later the recruiter called saying I did not get the position, and gave me feedback from the one on one. During the interview process everyone was extremely professional and I really appropriate they did no hide behind an email to inform me I did not get the job.

    I was shortlisted for a Software Engineer Intern role even though my resume was clearly showing signs of a Data Engineer. The interviewer was interested more in my skills in software development particularly in web development. It did not work out as I did not have enough experience with web development projects.
