Entretien de Regional Sales Manager

Candidat à l'entretien anonyme - Austin, TX (États-Unis)

Entretien facile

Candidature

J'ai postulé via une recommandation d'un employé. J'ai passé un entretien à Sprinklr (Austin, TX (États-Unis)) en juillet 2016.

Entretien

Got a call from the recruiter a few days after a current employee put in a referral on my behalf. After getting a call 30 minutes later than scheduled we talked for 30 minutes about work history. I was told I'd hear back the following Monday/Tuesday at the latest. Had to write two follow ups on the next Thursday and then Monday (a full week after I was supposed to be contacted). Was given some bs excuse about why it took so long to acknowledged my messages and that she would be back with me the following Monday or Tuesday. Well... still no word (3 weeks from initial promised response date). I have no issue with being rejected from a role, my issue is the complete lack of respect and decency to keep your word. If this is indicative of their company culture I would want NO PART OF IT, REGARDLESS IF COMPENSATION PACKAGES APPEAR TO BE FAVORABLE. Maybe this is why their sales org has seen unheard of levels of turnover in the past 2 years...

    * Sent my resume through the website.
    * Contacted within a couple of days to set-up a phone interview.
    * Responded to the recruiter, which in return took her 3 days to responds.
    * Recruiter was disorganized, late to the call and all over the board.
    * She was not only all of the above, but also one of the most pretentious attitudes I have encountered during a first call interview. If you are representing a company, a good first experience speaks volumes.
    * She had my resume, then stated how really difficult it is to learn their product and people even from Salesforce have a hard time grasping their concepts. Really?
    * She just took 45 minutes of my work day and my life I will never get back.,
    * Why did you call me if you read my resume and did not see Salesforce on there?
    * If it's so hard to learn your product ... Hey ... here is a tip ... get a good training department AND a good recruiter!
*I've worked for companies with complex IT solutions, which would involve months of project management and not a cookie cutter solution based Sass program.

No true interview process and are an extremely disorganized company. Had a phone call with sales director. Then met face to face in NYC. Had me there for a few hours meeting with members of the sales team who were not interested in having to do this at all. Then had a round table with another sales director and the VP. Received positive feedback saying "I am the guy" heard this is typical of this company and they lead many candidates on becusse no one can make a decision. Ask about next steps in process which changed from conversation to conversation. Was made to come back in a second time to meet with a sales director who was just hired and from the meeting could tell he will not be there long. Was asking me questions about his old companies product and knowledge of it. After that waste of a day, proceeded to gain insight into decision making process and kept getting the be patient and your my guy stick. Was never followed up with and still have no had an official answer. Again huge waste of time and this company doesn't know what it's looking for.

They were extremely aggressive in selling me on the company. Showing me charts about growth, and upside. Really making you feel like you are getting the royal treatment.

The interview process was fairly straight-forward, and quickly I felt that I was being sold too.

Comments like - we only hire the best, from the top companies, etc.

asked alot of stupid questions and some were not even relevant or legal. rather than focusing on my skills, they were more interested in knowing whether I would work long hours and travel. they seemed to be proud of the fact that they work long days and nights. all they wanted to hear was whether I was dedicated enough to work those hours.

    Candidature

J'ai postulé via une recommandation d'un employé. Le processus a pris 3 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien à Sprinklr (Londres, Angleterre (Royaume-Uni)) en janvier 2016.

    Entretien

I was referred to Sprinklr's Sales management by a former colleague. From that starting point, I went through 2 interviews with Sprinklr executives.

The first was with the UK Country Manager, NEMEA and a UK Associate Sales Director. This was an informal discussion where we talked about the company in general, my work history and also my family life to ensure that we were both comfortable with the potential fit. I saw this as an opportunity to also interview Sprinklr to make sure that it was a good fit for me.

The second interview was split into 2 parts and was with the VP of EMEA and a different Associate Sales Director. For the first part, they asked me to present to them as if I was a Sprinklr employee and they were the client (do your research and you will be fine if you are a confident presenter). The second part was much more informal and they wanted to make sure that I was the right fit for the role.

Following these two interviews, I was offered the role and finalised the details with the EMEA talent acquisition lead.

It was a very smooth process and took less than 3 weeks from start to finish.

    Questions d'entretien d'embauche

    • Why did I want to join Sprinklr? (don't bluff this answer - it is important. Think about it before and be prepared to answer it confidently)

Being the right cultural fit is also very important to Sprinklr - do your research about execs and company mindset.   Répondre à cette question

Classical process in three steps but I did it backwards:
    - Managers/practitioners lunch several times : helped understanding the role and why I would be a good match
    - HR screening
    - Skype with a SVP

    Négociation

    Negotiation on the arrival date.
Sprinklr was quite transparent from the beginning so no need to negotiate a lot.
