    Interview panel was program managers lacking interview skills, with clearly no interest in doing an interview. Right from the start of interview, the tone was to imply that the resume was heavy and that they didn't believe the authenticity of it (eg; you got promoted to that position in 5 years??)'

    The process was very streamlined. Everything began on time. Candidates with 0-2 years of experience were asked to give a test, while anyone with experience higher than that was asked to appear for the interview directly.

    First there is a written test comprising 40 questions out of which 30 are technical and remaining aptitude. Technical purely on machine design, tom, sm, mechanics. Next is technical interview followed by psychometric test and hr interview.

    The technical interview went into theory. Was asked about interested focus areas and subjects. And questions were asked from them same. SOM, TOM and Machine Design. Went deep into Mohr Circles, Types of Drives, Gear Drives, Gear Profiles, Bearing Life, etc. Mostly Theory, backed by logic based questions.

    I applied for software development( Dot .Net ) profile through their website. They gave me a call one day prior and next day was my interview. HR told me that interview process would be simple consisting of only 2 rounds i.e technical and hr round. But when I went there they first took Technical written test in C++ which was not I prepaid for but somehow manage to passed it then after waiting for nearly 4 hours HR send me for Technical round and that was good. After that they told me they would call me next day for further round as It was already late. But I didn't got any call or email. After 18 days HR call me for another Online Aptitude Assessment which was difficult but I cleared it. Since then I'm still waiting for call from HR and Its been 2 and half months. When I called her she told me that I clear all round and soon they will call for final HR round and offer latter.

    So My experience with Tata Power SED is very negative.
    HR is irresponsible and whole time they just talks with other HR. When you ask for anything they gives excused of forgetting under work pressure which is non.

    Recommend for only HR job which is like doing government job, rest don't bother unless you have any touch with someone inside.

    They took phonic interview first about 45 min asked everything, nice way of communicating, mainly I'm happy because they are penitently waited while answering.even while practical test they allowed us to understand the tools and all.
