    Panel late for interview
    Regressive mindset and questioning in 21st century global workplace environment.
    Unapologetic for bad interviewing style.
    No explanation of the role, the work culture at Tata SED etc.

    Good CTO but poor engineering head. Engineering head had a lot of ego and couldn’t handle the reluctance of candidate to divulge personal information like marriage, kids. Engineering head shutdown and asked no further questions and didn’t even close the call thanking for candidate’s time.

    A government, bureaucratic 1980’s culture.

    • Focused on their technologies instead of understanding candidate’s projects/technology/knowledge

      No questions on strategy, management, leadership. For crying out loud, you are hiring for head of software not an engineer. Missing what leadership means altogether.

      Questions on personal life. Origins, family, marriage, kids. Didn’t answer last two and engineering head decided to not ask anything further.

      Avoid this company. Join only if you are desperate or like a bureaucratic workplace that expects one to kiss their boss’s you know what.

    HOD interview in which the head of department will try to judge your overall personality , commitment towards work etc
    HR mostly about preferences and salary negotiations

    Interview panel was program managers lacking interview skills, with clearly no interest in doing an interview. Right from the start of interview, the tone was to imply that the resume was heavy and that they didn't believe the authenticity of it (eg; you got promoted to that position in 5 years??)'

    The process was very streamlined. Everything began on time. Candidates with 0-2 years of experience were asked to give a test, while anyone with experience higher than that was asked to appear for the interview directly.

    The technical interview went into theory. Was asked about interested focus areas and subjects. And questions were asked from them same. SOM, TOM and Machine Design. Went deep into Mohr Circles, Types of Drives, Gear Drives, Gear Profiles, Bearing Life, etc. Mostly Theory, backed by logic based questions.
