    Entretien de Product Software Engineer

    Candidat à l'entretien anonyme - Boulder, CO (États-Unis)
    Offres d'embauche déclinées
    Expérience positive
    Entretien facile

    Candidature

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 3 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien à TeamSnap (Boulder, CO (États-Unis)) en décembre 2019.

    Entretien

One of the best interview experiences I've ever had. I had 4 interviews at TeamSnap and each one was a pleasant experience. All interviews were done over phone or Zoom.

The first interview was a 30 minute phone screen with the recruiter. The second was with an engineering manager who gave me a more in-depth overview of the engineering teams at TeamSnap. The third interview was a panel with 4 other engineers/prospective teammates where they asked questions about my background as well as some scenario based questions. The final interview was with the hiring manager.

Every person I met with along the way was kind, appeared to be low-ego and had a good grasp on the company and their processes. This is the first loop I've been through as an engineer that did not involve any coding exercises or homework, I hope more organizations adopt this style of interviewing!

I would recommend applying to TeamSnap.

A series of 4 interviews on Zoom. Laid back interview process which was both fun and interactive. First was a phone call with a recruiter, then another with BDR manager, then a panel interview with a BDR, AE and BDR manager, then final zoom meeting with sales director.

The process took over a month. Started with an initial phone screening, then management and the team. The biggest issue was their lack of communication at the end of the process. They said they would have a decision that same day. I waited another week and followed up. After my email, I immediately received a generic rejection letter. I would have not heard back from the company had I not followed-up. It would've been nice to get some feedback considering this process took a lot of my time.

    Entretien de Sales

Applied online and quickly received a request for an initial phone screen. From then on proceeded to have 6+ video interviews spanning over a month, with various members of the team, including the VP of Sales. This was an extremely time consuming process for a mid level sales role. Throughout the process I had to consistently follow up with the hiring manager to hear back about next steps. After the third round interview I was actually rejected, only to have the hiring manager come back a day or two later to let me know that another candidate "dropped out of the race". At this point I assumed that an offer was coming my way, but in actuality I had to go through 3 more rounds of interviews. In hindsight, this was a red flag but I was enthusiastic about the position so I pressed on. Lastly, I was asked to provide references PRIOR to an offer, which I was told was their “HR Policy”. Totally not a normal experience, and left a bad taste in my mouth. After contacting OLD references to speak with the hiring manager, I was promptly followed up with the next day with a rejection. When asked for feedback as to why, the initial email was reiterated and I was told they “went in a different direction.” Last I checked, that’s not feedback. Also, several interviewers spoke to the constant change and disorganization at the company. Overall, this process was unnecessarily long, inefficient, and showed very little respect to myself as a candidate. This is clearly a direct reflection of the company, and I would recommend steering clear of any opportunities here!

Never even got that far in the process. Sent in a job application with my resume, and within 2 minutes, got a rejection email. Wow, that sure was quick, which lets me know that they're not taking their time with candidates.

J'ai postulé via une recommandation d'un employé. Le processus a pris 2 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien à TeamSnap.

    Entretien

Went through four rounds of interviews, all online since it was a remote role, the last of which was with the CEO. I don't think he liked my pointed business questions, because I didn't get an offer. I also had to reach out to them twice to followup, which is incredible given the amount of time I dedicated to their interview process. Also shocked to be treated this way given I was an employee referral. All other employees gave me a thumbs up and told me they thought I would be a good fit. As their application is old and business doesn't have much growth potential, I'm glad it didn't work out. Keep that in mind when considering this company.

    Entretien de Customer Experience Specialist

    Candidature

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 4 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien à TeamSnap.

    Entretien

Standard. First contacted by a recruiter, then a phone screen with them. Next, I had a zoom video interview with the hiring manager. Afterward, I had video interviews with the head of the department, and then a peer interview with my potential peers. Finally, I was asked to have an interview with the CEO.

TeamSnap was fast and responsive when I was setting up interviews with them. I usually got a response from them within a couple of hours or so of sending my email. Very nice and courteous.

While I did not get an offer, I did receive an email informing me of my rejection, so previous Glassdoor interview posts are not the only case. Though the email that I received was a very generic rejection email. It would have been nice to have something a bit more tailored since I made it through all their interviews but I guess what I got is better than no email.

    Questions d'entretien d'embauche

    • Questions about my background and how it fit with the role. Questions about social interaction, such as how do you deal with conflict with coworkers, customers, etc... Also asked about if I had any suggestions to improve their processes. And also they just asked other standard questions, like why do you want to work here, why should we hire you.   Répondre à cette question

Started off with a standard phone screen and then spoke with a member from their team. The process was very fast and smooth. However, after speaking with a member from the team, never heard back. Was disappointed that no one from Team Snap had the decency to send a rejection letter. A company like this that preaches high values yet doesn't even acknowledge or communicate applicants that are not chosen is a company I would not recommend to anyone.

J'ai postulé en ligne. J'ai passé un entretien à TeamSnap (Los Angeles, CA (États-Unis)) en mai 2017.

First round interview was with head hunter. Basic questions about resume. Then you will have 4 open-ended interviews with individuals on team, including CEO, engineering head and team leads. It was all over internet video, since the team is remote. Mostly two-way conversation for team to get to know candidate and for candidate to learn more about the company.
