The recruitment process was fast and responsive, the interviewer will ask you questions while typing down the answer. Questions were mostly fit/behavioral interview, less on technical aspect. The interview was conducted in English and very conversational. However I did not get an offer nor rejection confirmation.

It was a standard interview, but it took three months with ten interview stages for me to pass before they recruit me. The difficulty is average, try to compile example questions from glassdoor and i'm sure you'll make it

After you submit the initial job application, they will review your application and resume. Should they decide to proceed you will be asked to do a 2 hour analytic test online. The test is very difficult if you're not used to big data manipulation. I would suggest practice with Pivot Table and get your formulas and functions prepared.

The hiring process for an Intern position was very straight-forward, a la chat style on the phone. The interview was very casual, typical of Indonesian culture. As hiring process progresses, things become very fishy on UBER's end. The company all of a sudden cut off all forms of communications. My requests for information were met by the usual, "Sorry, but we're very busy at the moment. We'll get back to you in a couple of weeks." This went on for three months. In the end, I decided to declined the offer and went to another tech company.

The interview consists of 7 steps: 1. Online assessment - given an excel file database, you need to do calculation using pivot tables, filtering, and some data modification to find the MCQ answers. There is a time limit to answer the questions. 2. Online interview via website application - there were 5-6 questions about why joining Uber and some case studies, and you need to record your answer via video (one answer one video, and you need a device/laptop which is able to record your face frontally). It's not live, so you can basically check the questions and think about the framework of your answers first. You can also review and redo the recording before you're really sure to submit it. 3. Skype interview with a senior operation team of Uber - there were 2-3 case questions but overall it's like an interactive Q&A session. You can ask anything in details about the work scope, job description, working environment, etc. 4. Face-to-face interview with the operation team leader - there were again 2-3 case questions. 5. Interview with HR - the recruitment team will explain to you about the culture of Uber, the benefit and all of the sweet things if you join Uber 6. City presentation - you are required to present your idea/concept of launching a new Uber product (the HR will give you some options). All scenarios and framework is up to you. During the presentation, there will be a panel of interviewers and they will challenge your idea. Make sure you have a good data preparation. 7. Closing interview with regional lead - I don't know how it's going since I did not make it to this step.

Amazingly in depth test and case study based interview process. All companies should be this difficult to join! First cut is with their recruitment team, then you move on to the local managers, regional heads and someone from HQ or APAC.
