Group: Payment/settlement

First there was a hacker rank link sent by the recruiter with 21 questions, a small coding exercise and all tricky java questions, you will be able to do it if you have good Java experience and some exposure on the binary, octal, threading.

After that interview was scheduled with three 1:1 interviews with 45 minutes each.

1 Round: Gave a scenario and asked me to design a solution for it. You need to be good at SOLID principles, Full OOD, Design patterns for this round. Question on transactions
2nd round: Architecture related questions on Spring, security, authentication, authorization. Scalability, a leet code easy problem, threading questions.
I think i was un prepared for the security related questions and scalability, caused my chances hurt here.
3rd Round: Problem on linked list. Questions on tree, phone book, behavioral questions. What UI technologies i worked on. Transaction related questions.

I got an email 3 days later saying that they did not consider me for the next steps. But, I think i did not do so bad, but i knew that i hurt my chances when i was unprepared for the scalability questions. Overall the interview was good experience.

    I first got contacted for an online skills test at Hacker Rank about two months after I applied online. About ten days after I did the test, a recruiter got in touch with me for the onsite interview.

    The process leading to the interview was very good. The recruiter was very accommodating with regards to the scheduling, and made all the arrangements including parking.

    The interview itself went well. There were three interviewers, one technical and the other two on job qualifications. I also got to meet the hiring manager. All of them are very cordial, and I enjoyed talking to them.

    What happened after all that is not good. I tried to follow-up on the results, but I never got a response back. As of this writing, it's already been two months since the interview and four months since I sent my application, but still no response, not even a rejection letter.

    I assumed I did not make it after I did not get a response on my follow-ups. But in my opinion they should be straight-forward and courteous when it comes to these things, whether or not you got the job. Being left hanging like this made me feel the whole process, which took four months in all, is a big waste of my time. I do not see myself applying here again.

    Horrific interview experience @ Bellevue (WA) office few months back.

    Recruiter directly scheduled full-day onsite without a call. Nor was there an informational with a manager or any phone interview. This was a red flag but I anyway showed up.

    Onsite there are 4 hrs of interviews scheduled with 8 interviewers(?!)

    The first was with Hiring manger who never showed up - shocking.!!

    A tech lead shows up and get I all random questions - 'why didn't you apply for this other role' and the demeanor was mostly mocking - 'what do you know about x'.. After a few random questions for 10-15 min, the interview ends.

    After that 2 proper coding interviews happen but they are for around 30-35 min.

    After 2 hrs of interviewing I am all of a sudden asked to leave?! My interviews weren't bad IMO and it seems impossible to be based off of that. Either they found a candidate already or something else happened.

    After the onsite the recruiter never emails back anything - not even thanking for showing for an abrupt onsite interview?

    Even after a ping the recruiter does not respond. (recruiter was ignoring questions email questions before the interview so perhaps its expected)

    Can you believe this behavior? Sheer arrogance.

    They need to lean to treat external candidates respectfully.

    It all started with hackerrank test , followed by Senior Director Interview , 4 rounds of technical Interview , 1 additional Interview , 1 Interview with Director .

    • They had Job opening for Mainframe + C++ , but the team was looking for Java and Javascript screwed my entire 3 months of Interview process . Core Java , Collections , COBOL ,DB2 ,CICCS, VSAM . The team is not aware of what they want to hire for and they waste time of candidates neither the HR was co-operative .   Répondre à cette question

    Some recruiting person contacted me and forwarded my resume, cover letter to Visa Inc. Got an email from Visa with Hackerrank test. After submitting the hackerrank coding challenger, got the email to schedule phone interview. Phone interview was with the Director. It was good, asked about my projects and technology I worked on. After this scheduled onsite interview at Foster City. There were 3 members and they asked various coding and designing questions.

    Process took just a week. HR contacted me as she liked my LinkedIn profile. Scheduled a half an hour interview with a lead title holder and the interview got postponed twice. In this process they shared Hackerrank challenge to be solved in 3 days. So I had interview and the challenge on the same day but the interviewer was some new person.
    Interview Experience: Asked academic project related questions. Disadvantages of TF-IDF as the interviewer saw that term on my resume.
    What data structure would you use to find a the longest word starting with "CATER" when given a dictionary of words. (the words can be CATERS, CATERERS, CATERING). Output should be Catering.
    How do you access private variables from outside a class without using getter and setter methods.
    Explain about the heap and stack memories.
    Garbage collector is called on heap or stack?
    Explain about the Decorator design patter
    Explain about Comparator and Comparable
    Difference between HashMap and HashTable
    What is Hypervisor?

    The whole process was a big waste of time. Their HR/recruiters need to get their act together. They don't pay attention to important details such as salary expectations and really need to work on their scheduling. They also don't know how to counter offer... I don't think they understand the concept.

    Raison du refus

    I turned down their 1st offer because I had a much better offer on the table. Their counter offer was almost laughable... I mean why even present an offer you know is $30-35K short with no other incentive to make it competitive?
